John Goodman and Roseanne to reunite for "Downwardly Mobile"

John Goodman is near a deal to co-star in Downwardly Mobile, the NBC comedy pilot starring Roseanne Barr as the outspoken proprietor and den mother to an array of characters at a mobile home park.

Goodman, who played Roseanne's loyal husband Dan Conner for nine seasons on the ABC comedy from 1988-1997, will play one of the guys who work at the park.

Barr is writing and executive producing the multicamera pilot, from 20th Television, alongside Eric Gilliland, a former writer and executive producer on Roseanne. John Argent, Barr's boyfriend who appeared on her Lifetime unscripted series, will also exec produce.
