Here's hoping for a reunion with all the characters (that are still alive), so bring back Cameron and 13 and I guess Cuddy, mainly just care about the first 2.
Wow! I can't believe it, even though I can because of the declining quality, but I still watch it every week, it's gonna be so strange not having this anymore
When it was good, it was great... but, yeah. Definitely time to put the show out to pasture. I haven't watched for about a season and a half, but I guess I should come back for the home stretch. If I could do it for Dawson's Creek, I can certainly do it for Hugh Laurie...
Ever since this season premiere I was kinda hoping they would make this one the last. I love House as a character. In fact I believe it's one of the most brilliant written characters in TV-show history, but no matter how genius one character can be, it cannot carry a show for 8 yrs without at least a decent storyline to back it up. Thanks to the House cast and crew for all the smirks and smiles this show has delivered me, but also thanks for ending it at the right time.
Wow.... I didn't even watch it, but that show's been on as long as I can remember... I'm really going to miss just hearing about it.
I hate how all the long-running shows that I haven't really been keeping up with but still cared for are getting canceled, like House and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition...
On a side note, does FOX even have any popular dramas left? It seems like they're running low on decent dramas...
I'll be really disappointed if they can't bring back Cameron or they should at least have Chase finally quit working for House and leave to be with her again...
I would love to see Cameron back but I don't think that will happen - surely Jen has some sort of contract with ABC that doesn't allow her on other shows?
If it's anything like last May, all of them. Lie To Me, Chicago Code, Human Target, and Traffic Light were all cancelled within minutes of each other. FOX loves bloodbaths.
It's time. Once I figured out that the producers were never going to give House any lasting character growth, the series became a lot less interesting and a lot more predictable.
I've never been a regular viewer, but the few shows that I have watched were good. I just hope that they have time to give the show a proper close for the viewers and for the performers as well.
The writers dug themselves into a hole with the whole "people don't change" motto. They decided "people don't change" equals no character growth. So they just kept going around in circles and stories got redundant. It had a good run and it'll still be one of my favorites show but this season certainly showed the show's age and the episodes have been mediocre at best (except the last one).
Really hope they can get Cameron and Cuddy to appear in one of the last episodes or the series finale. That would really be a treat. So long House, you had quite a run.
Dear trolls; It does you no harm that a show you no longer watch continues to air. For those of us who have enjoyed every season of the show, this is sad news. To those of you who stopped watching a while ago, this is completely inconsequential. I don't tap dance on the graves of the shows that you enjoy but I don't watch, why must you do so? sincerely, Sick Of Your Attitude
I loved every moment! House perfectly matched my personal taste better than any TV show before it. The fact that it struck the wrong chord and was misunderstood by so many others, just made thoroughly enjoying it even sweeter. Now I can't wait for a series set to come out on Blu-Ray so I can fall in love with every moment all over again.
The only people on the show worth watching the past few years has been House, Wilson, and Chase. Unfortunately WIlson and Chase have never gotten the screentime they deserve.
Who cares, many greatly beloved long running TV shows have main characters with no real growth. Anyway, House did change to some degree, except for the worse. Everyone's just irritated because character's like House are traditionally supposed to be slowly fixed by the end. I admire the balls of the producers to not take the lame "everyone changes for the better" Hollywood route. For once the librarian let down her hair, took off her glasses, and ended up uglier.
I knew this had to happen at some point, but it still makes me sad. It's tough to see all your favorite shows coming to an end. It makes me realize how old I am becoming LOL
Ok, who cares because evidenced by the significant number of popular long running series with little to no real character growth, people aren't actually looking for character growth, they instead really only want negatives to become positives. That's what the show's ratings were evidence of.
I hope this plays out being positive for Fringe/Terra Nova. If Alcatraz get's cancelled, too (which it will, if the ratings keep on decreasing) Fringe will have better chances in gettung renewed.
House used to be a great show. The actors are still superb, especially Hugh Laurie, but let's face it, it's a shadow of its former self. The "House drives into Cuddy's house" and Lisa Edelstein's departure sealed the deal for me. The should work on making these last episodes the best they absolutely can and leave in a flourish, rather than drag on, and on, and on...
I'm sad about the end of it, but I admit the begining of the season was weak. Now it's better, but it's too late to go on. I wish there wil be a good ending. I hope they won't kill the Doctor.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Just posted this.
ReplyDeleteShut the front door cant say im surprised this season has been weak to say it mildly
ReplyDeleteGlad was a great show but has gone on too long
ReplyDeletePlease bring back Cuddy and Thirteen!!!
ReplyDeleteKnew this was coming, but wow. Heck of a run. And now begins the eternal question.....is Lisa Edelstein returning for the finale then?
ReplyDeleteNot really surprising.. and probably for the best. But I'm going to miss it anyway!
ReplyDeleteWell, although it was expected and not really a surprise I'm kinda shocked.
ReplyDeleteIt's like... Friends or ER ending...
Its to bad the last few episodes have been exceptionally good, classic House, but yes i knew it was coming. It was a great ride...
ReplyDeleteNoooooooooooooooooo
ReplyDeleteEhh, no surprises there. Still, it's been on for 8 years, I hope they give it a proper ending.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised. They have enough time to do some wrap-up.
ReplyDeleteI'm not too sad. The show's been on a decline since S4.
ReplyDeleteIt was a fantastic show in the earlier seasons but as the cast changed it slowly got worse. I don't watch it anymore but still a little sad.
ReplyDeleteSad but very predictable. I hope they can end the season and series in a brighter way. Fingers crossed for Lisa Edelstein!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping for a reunion with all the characters (that are still alive), so bring back Cameron and 13 and I guess Cuddy, mainly just care about the first 2.
ReplyDeleteGive me a good House&Wilson ending and I'll be as happy as a clam. No more romancing, no more "Huddy" and similar nonsense.
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't believe it, even though I can because of the declining quality, but I still watch it every week, it's gonna be so strange not having this anymore
ReplyDeleteA part of me just died. RIP House. And f*ck you FOX for taking the piss for so long.
ReplyDelete=O
ReplyDeleteNooooooooo!!!!!!!!!Too bad, the show is great and I'll miss it very much... =(

ReplyDeleteIf you don't watch it, you can't really judge. You should watch last Monday's episode, was pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteWow.... I didn't even watch it, but that show's been on as long as I can remember... I'm really going to miss just hearing about it.

Unsurprising but it's not as good as it once was. Still will miss Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard - both fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI'll be really disappointed if they can't bring back Cameron or they should at least have Chase finally quit working for House and leave to be with her again...
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Cameron back but I don't think that will happen - surely Jen has some sort of contract with ABC that doesn't allow her on other shows?
ReplyDeleteWas really hoping for one more season after this one.
ReplyDeleteI'm not judging the current season - when I still watched it in season 6 I thought it was bad.
ReplyDeleteSorry for fans of the series, but I think with the success of Touch's pilot and Alcatraz doing fairly well.... House being cancelled was a certainty.
ReplyDeleteI wonder where the axe will fall next... Terra Nova, The Finder, or Fringe......
I agree!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised because I thought it was still popular, but I guess not. I personally got bored with it a few years ago and lost interest
ReplyDeleteIf it's anything like last May, all of them. Lie To Me, Chicago Code, Human Target, and Traffic Light were all cancelled within minutes of each other. FOX loves bloodbaths.
ReplyDeletemaybe they can reboot Chicago Code now. to soon to soon lol

Me too, I really thought it had a ninth season in it.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad. I love House but I'm definitely ready for it to be over.
ReplyDeleteDevastated. Watched the show for soooooo many years now, and I personally have loved every single moment of it...
ReplyDeleteI'm delighted it'll get the proper ending it deserves, but another hole will appear in my LOST-less, 24-less heart!
Not surprised. It's been on for a long time now, so how much more could they do anyway?
ReplyDeleteI loved every moment! House perfectly matched my personal taste better than any TV show before it. ReplyDelete"Who cares"
ReplyDeleteLots of people, as evidenced by the shows ratings.
It's had a good run. I hope they had some advance warning so they wouldn't have to rush an ending.
ReplyDeleteAn All That Jazz ending would be perfect

ReplyDeleteMy gut keeps telling me that House is going to die in the series finale
ReplyDeleteLOL! OMG! You've made my night with this! Brilliant! XD!!
ReplyDeleteIt had a good run I mean 8 seasons is pretty amazing in this TV climate.
ReplyDeletewho cares
ReplyDeleteI'm very sad to hear this :( I hate when they just announce it in the middle of the season rather than at the beginning. It seems cruel to the fans...
ReplyDeleteamazing? i don't think so..
ReplyDeleteit was the same as grey's anatomy - i saw what i saw episode. even worse.
anyway, i'm sad, but not suprised.
I hope this plays out being positive for Fringe/Terra Nova. If Alcatraz get's cancelled, too (which it will, if the ratings keep on decreasing) Fringe will have better chances in gettung renewed.
ReplyDeleteAh, my mistake, I apologise.
ReplyDeleteloved every bit of that show. I'm gonna miss it
ReplyDeleteThere is a god!!
ReplyDeleteHouse used to be a great show. The actors are still superb, especially Hugh Laurie, but let's face it, it's a shadow of its former self. ReplyDeleteSo does mine!
ReplyDeleteSo it's time to catch up. I stopped after Cam left. I just didn't feel like continuing after that...
ReplyDeleteI would guess Fringe could stay as it has comparatively (with respect to their time slot) lower expectations
ReplyDeletelots of people are idiots, then
ReplyDeleteit wasn't cancelled. the creators and hl decided to end it.
ReplyDeletelots and lots of people... the fact that you don't doesn't make all the rest who do disappear...
ReplyDeleteI'm sad about the end of it, but I admit the begining of the season was weak. Now it's better, but it's too late to go on. I wish there wil be a good ending. I hope they won't kill the Doctor.
ReplyDeleteI could have gone on watching this show forever. Hope all the original characters and 13 come back for the end.
