They cancelled both How To Make It In America, Hung, and Bored To Death for Enlightened. They want to appeal to the female viewers now, suddenly even a good amount of years after Sex And The City.
They were also trying to make new room for upcoming shows like Veep or Girls, so that definitely also influenced the decision to cancel it. And Enlightened was the only one of those 4 shows I didn't like. I wasn't a huge fan of Hung either, but I loved Bored to Death.
And Girls sounds like some kind of Bridesmaides (which I found to be extremely overhyped), a young/"unhip" version of Sex and the City and a female Entourage. Not something I'm looking forward to.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Bored to Death cancelled for this?!? Still mad about that, HBO...
