Well this is certainly unusual Gary Fledger will direct the CW version, and is executive-producer on the ABC version of Beauty & the Beast

  8. This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen at least for this guy,  as I'm sure he'll be asked by both studios: "What storylines are they doing over there at ABC/CW? and of course any similarity between the 2 will automatically fall to him....

    I guess he's playing the odds to his favour, thinking that AT LEAST one of them will be picked up and he'll be working next year ;)

    (though to be fair the fact that he's directing the pilot doesn't really mean he'll stick around with the show afterwards...)

  11. This is getting weirder and weirder Oo ... Hei, why not cast that same people for both shows and only give each show a half-season pick-up and then the cast can switch between filming the CW and the ABC version, also meaning episodes will air on a two-weeks basis, but with the usual hiatus and all.
    ... well Oo
