I like the simplicity, but this is nothing special whatsoever to me.
It's the equivalent of the Supernatural title card instead of opening credits. Cheap and gets the job done, but not much time or thought is put into it.
For fans of medieval fantasy or reality... I just watched the premiere episode of a new series on History Channel called 'Full Metal Jousting'... Pretty interesting stuff!!
There are two teams of untrained jousters that basically get into 30 pounds of armor and use real wooden lances and ride horses to joust one another. They have coaches and face off against the each other with the loser going home each week...
The reality format is not for me honestly, but it was interesting to watch at least on episode and I may watch more...
