So, in the somewhat heartbreaking and 100% awesome "Making Angels" we got a glimpse into the life of Astrid and her Asperger's counterpart, and I learned one thing: When Astrid cries, there's nothing good in the world anymore! She is NEVER allowed to cry again! That was so sad in such an adorable way! As for the case of the week, it was nice (and awfully convenient) to have Alternate Astrid on our side for once, as she could isolate variables at a speed that confounded everyone in the room!
I was confused for the character's motives, because he saw all the tragedy of a person who he would meet, and then he would kill them...but I couldn't figure out how... I simply guesstimated that he was using the Observer's device to kill them with their future somehow. Either way, now we see that September hasn't exactly been in line with his superiors, and not only has he disobeyed orders, but he's gone missing... (and his zodiac counterparts have not discovered that he was shot by someone, and COULD be dead!)
We all know that a huge Observer episode is coming up soon, and this fed right into that storyline very well. Overall I loved it, even though we're still stuck in sidewaysville, and the story of the week was lacking in some aspects.
WELCOME TO WESTFIELD
Ok, so from the previews we can see that this isn't going to be related to the main storyline as much as we'd like (You know, every episode SHOULD be part of the mytharc, but alas...) but damn, this episode looks like a blast! It reminds me of when that building was switching places through the universes and the man got stuck inside of himself! Of course, from the synopses I've read, and the promos I've seen, it's going to be different from that, but to have the whole team out in the open and in the middle of a very dangerous situation might just be the fast-paced adrenaline episode we've been waiting for! I see people duplicating, glass shattering, and buses flickering in and out of existence! Johari Window WHO???
Who else is ready for FRINGE FRIDAY!???

I think this episode could be a REALLY good story of the week! I am expecting a lot of nasty things to happen in Westfield!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you again, Wilson. Missed you the last few weeks.
ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to this one seems quite horror based you know people getting trapped in a small town with no way out......creepy!
ReplyDeleteI REALLY hope this is going to be more than just "The Fringe team investigates odd goings on in Silent Hill".
ReplyDeleteWhere you guys aware that the show is available for download in itunes already, I have the season pass and got the email and downloaded it already, havent watched it yet, though.
ReplyDeleteHere's last week's:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2012/02/fringe-friday-411-making-angels.html
IDK just that alone is enough for me. :D
ReplyDeleteI was totally unaware of that.
ReplyDeleteSounds great.
Oh. I missed that one. Sorry. Still, I'm glad to see you doing this. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteI had no power most of the day (they put in a new transformer on my block) so I have no Fringe Friday artwork! :(
ReplyDeleteI had an awesome concept of Fringe vs Wizard of Oz with Olivia/ Dorothy saying "I have the strangest feeling wee're not in Boston anymore Astro..."
Oh well... dammit! I should have done it earlier this week! XD
Last week was awesome with Astrid this week looks even better only a couple more hours now
ReplyDelete:( Maybe you can post it later this weekend? I'd still love to see what you've got in store for us!
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to this one - it looks really creepy. And there's an EW spoiler that has me so intrigued!
ReplyDeleteAh, you saw that also. I think Nina is trying to help Peter (behind the scenes, of course) get back to his timeline by reawakening Olivia's Cortexiphan powers. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteI think this episode is going to be an awesome one, between the promos, scoops and some outside scoops,it sounds like we are in for a ride.Buddytv actually had a nice little article about tonight's episode.
ReplyDeleteBut really,no matter what they have tonight, its going to be great,at least i will be satisfied, hope you all will be too!
Hey Wilson,i was afraid you were not going to make it today.Glad you here! :)
OMG! You have to make it whenever you get power back!!! That sound SO cool!
ReplyDeleteHappy FRINGE Friday!!!!!!! Is ready for Westfield!
ReplyDeleteI think it's suppose to be a virus...so it would be niffty if this relates to "What Lies Below"....but the footage in the scenes reminds me SO much of a Vortex or what the machines did when they were activated in "6:20 A.M."/"The Last Sam Weiss"...can't wait to find out more about the events! (Oh and Peter could you please start being nicer to this Walter, thankx ^-^)
That's an interesting theory. Honestly, I have no idea why Nina is dosing Olivia. It's Nina - she's so flipping mysterious. But I don't think it's to help Peter. Her dosing Olivia and her alliance with Jones suggests that there's something bigger going on.
ReplyDeleteRe. EW's spoiler - I'm wondering if Olivia either crosses over by herself or starts to have memories of the old timeline.
That sounds pretty wild,if you get the chance to get it together i think everyone would like to see it...Hope your food is ok.....
ReplyDeletelaura3341 DarthLocke4 Ha!
ReplyDeleteI only did a rough copy and never added the Westfield sign or the Yellow Brick Road etc... I can share the rough edit of what I did if you like?
I may finish it up later this weekend if I have time... It's not the same without the Yellow Brick Road and Westfield etc! XD
Yep food is ok!
Power was out for 4 hours I think... but then I was out of the house off and on all day and night so I just never had time to finish the wallpaper... Maybe it will be a poster, dunno.
Anyway.. here was what I had completed so far....
OMG... Broyles is priceless!
ReplyDeleteI loved that look too! Originally I was going to have Walter as Scarecrow... the brain connection since part of Walter's is missing. Then I played around some and Walter's jowls just worked for the Lion.
ReplyDeleteThen Lincoln was going to be the Scarecrow, ut I kept coming back to that look of Broyles and HAD to use it! XD
I added the Munchkin Observers just because of Broyles look! XD
Peter was always the Tin-man needing his heart though....
K, I worked on it after I watched FRINGE... not the final version, but since I missed the Friday episode I changed the conept some and just don't wanna do any more right now! XD XD
ReplyDeleteDecided to execute my original vision after watching the episode again and feeling all of the Wizard of Oz references! XD
ReplyDeleteThe only hting I did not do I originally planned was to put all of the glyph into the poster. Only got a couple, but now I'm too tired. So this is the final version.... as of now at least.
Darque these are wonderful,i love them all, each one is distinct, and each gets better and better. :) :D
ReplyDeleteHa! for a second i couldn't find Peter, lol, and Walter oh look at September ha!! I can't decide which one i like better.I think i will sit for awhile just to compare them and see the differences..BTW i never got the message that you left me mail(whatever we call it here),i happen to be going through last Fridays posts about Fringe when i scrolled down and here you were.Honestly i thought you were either really busy,or i somehow offended you,its been awhile since we last spoke..
Are you an artist? You have the eye,i'll say that. :)
Darth,did you check out Darque's work?Look down,they are great!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
ReplyDeleteI am artistic... artist is up for debate I guess! XDJust a hobby for the most part.. A paid hobby a handful of times, but usually I do it for myself not others.
I have not been on as much recently... A few hit and run posts here and there the last couple days, but no extended chats etc..
I barely commented on FRINGE even! XD
Yes i noticed, unlike you to do that,i kept expecting you to pop up and when you didn't i realized you were busy.So Rembrandt,Alcatraz is almost on,i'll be back later or in the a.m..Talk soon! :)
