  2. Is there another Sneak Peek?

  3. I was refering to the second one... The scene is perfect as it is but I just cannot not think about how things could be if we'd be back in the original timeline...

  4. I am a little disappointed in this season .

    I expected more.:-(

  5. i have to admit, i feel the same, but i was afraid to say anything as i was afraid i would be jumped on and accused of not being a true fan or something :(

  6. It would be more complicated, but really I think their making a point that it's all relative to Peter's and Walternate(s) Relationship(s). (Be Better than your Father)

  7. Is it Just me or are both videos way out  of sync

  8. I say; say what you want. I'm a true fan, and quite simply this season is pissing me off. So what if someone calls you not a true fan, you know you are, and you can tell them to piss off if they don't like it.

    Angry Fringe fans unite!!

  9. i just feel like we have spent half a season with characters i really don't care about. . . as none of them are from the original timeline, i don't care to get invested in their story when literally all i am waiting for is the episode where peter gets back there.

  10. It's going to be good, I just know it.
Sorry, got to get on my soap box again. Check this out:

  11. Not denying how you feel, but I feel the opposite. I feel rewarded that Peter gets to embark on this journey. I can understand feeling anxious --But were just only half way through the season. We have like 11 episodes left after tonight and I think we just have to hold on. It's usually towards the end of the season that has really really good episodes.(although I really like some of these)

  12. But all of them are related to each other...it's like meeting extended family that puts the pressure back on Peter's over all decision. Peter is here for a reason and it relates to the people he (and the rest of us) care about....the point of using dopplegangers and multiple timelines is to look at identity and human condition...Peter to us is the the unique anomaly. Every he cares about is amplified by the machine. This timeline is important to ours.

  13. If peter goes back to his timeline in the end of this season doesnt that make the entire thing pointless.  it he doesnt and this is somehow his real timeline altered that would just be sad.  either way i am a little disappointed in this season.

  14. I'm curious, and by no means want to be rude. But for those who are disappointed so far, what would the perfect season look like?
I think the writers have done an awesome job telling THEIR story and keeping us on our toes. I know I couldn't come up with the stories they tell.

  15. I'm like you. I'm enjoying this season.

  16. The videos are out of sync and are hanging up, but so what. I've seen enough to make me desire Fringe Friday even more. I ALSO am enjoying the ads for The Voice and look forward to seeing that again.

  17.  I'm right there with you Cortexifan on my soapbox too!

  18.  I think the season is pissing you off because of the way its been shown. If there were a little more stable in the way they were shown i don't think you would have felt the same way.?

  19. I have to admit, this has been my lest enjoyable Season so far. I can't put my finger on why, I still enjoy it but no where near as much as Seasons 1,2 and 3

  20.  I am loving the last few episodes,it  love the storyline and i cannot wait to see the journey Astrid will be taken on.I watched the clip where she meets herself,i had tears im my eyes...
And your right about the writers another timeline, taking things for granted, wow it blows my mind, with what they come up with..... :)

  21. I see that I'm not alone.
I can completely understand seeing an alternate possibility for the lives of our characters; and it's actually been enjoyable as far as the cases have gone. But I am still waiting for the episode that explains to us why this timeline should even matter! It's gone on for this long into the season, so I don't think Peter's just going to zip back to his timeline any time soon. The writers are smart in what they do, but they are really, really pushing my trust in them to the limit this season. Which is why this is, so far, my least favorite season.
But hooray for an Astrid-centric episode!

  22. Alcatraz in way is kind of parallels this season. The main characters in Alcaraz are being presented to the audience in the dark and seemingly the meaning the characters may come feel/learn from these experiences is at the moment being denied to us, or rather given to us in rather small doses. Peter is a lot like those characters, because he's a character who's beliefs change slowly as he becomes more and more involved. (Peter mentioned that his favorite book is "If You See the Buddha on the Road, Kill Him!" --The philosophy is often interpreted that a person has to experience things in life for themselves and they can't just rely on the information of others for "truth"....The Machine may take Peter's emotions/feelings into account, ("if you can dream a better world. You can make a better world"--dreams reflect feelings and feelings inform beliefs) and so if he believes he can't learn/change with out experience, then he has to experience something then...)

  23. Because Olivia's death in every time line reflects the death (and rebirth) of the universes.

    ReplyDelete
  24. That would make perfect sense, but what I was saying is that if that IS the case, then they should have pointed us in that direction by now, so that we'll CARE if this new-timeline-Olivia dies. Right now, I've got not reason to care.

  25. Even in sneak peek Walter/Altlivia scene looks epic!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I find it very interesting that Walter is seemingly aware of his ongoing mispronunciation of Astrid.  If he knows he's doing it, why does he continue to do so?  Is Walter doing some sort of behavioral experiment on Astrid?

    ReplyDelete
  27. that is a good point about his "conscience awareness"!!! --Perhaps for him it's about acceptability...but maybe also about creating a special relationship with her. That he intentionally tests her, to know her???

    ReplyDelete
  28.  An interesting thought.  It's a good possibility.

  29. These are coming in wonky for me, but the more of Alt-Astrid I see the more I love of her.  Besides the Peter's back episode I haven't looked forward to an episode of Fringe more than I am this one.

On another note - 6 million The Thing commercials are never going to get me to watch that show.

  30. I think it's hard coming off of series-high season 3.  Fringe fans are usually very in focus with the characters and the overall mythology of the show.  While the overall mythology is still there albeit going very, very slowly, the characters are not.  I've had a harder time caring about them too.  I think this timeline has shown some interesting perspective and I like Nina best in this one, but the reason I got into Fringe was the Walter-Peter relationship.  Without it, I feel like my tie to the show is floundering.  I guess I wish they would progress faster than they have both in the Observer story and in Peter's relationships.

  31. You hit the nail right on the head and gave it a concision! I am getting really tired of these one off Myth-alones in the context of what is going on with the series as far as cancellation goes. Take the last episode for instance. It did a little to move the plot along, but for the most part we have our half of the new inter-dimensional Fringe team dealing with a girl who sees the future, meanwhile a maniac goes about his inter-dimensional terror spree, and Fringe team blue seems to just put him on the back burner. We also have Peter who is a wealth of knowledge on the subjects of DRJ, the shapeshifters, and the Observers, and yet no one seems to want to debrief him in any way shape or form.

Don't get me wrong, normally I'd normally love the myth-alone episodes, and honestly I do like the ones we have as far as entertainment factor goes. The problem I'm having is the looming threat of cancellation and with that, the lack of a sense of urgency on the part of the show-runners. They seem to be cruising along like they have two more seasons to fulfill their obligation to us the original fans. I just feel like I'm trying to enjoy a cruise on a sinking ship.

  32. Or he just finds teasing Astrid amusing.

  33. I think the problem lies in the lack of momentum this season as far as the entire series myth goes. For me that is where all my anxiety stems from. I said this in another comment but I'll say it again; I feel like we are on a sinking cruise ship, and the producers are the captains, and they are telling us to not worry about the rising water level, but to just have fun at the karaoke bar. Sorry but I cannot ignore how crucial the situation is. As a fan of the entire series, and most of all the series mythology, I can't help but feel like we are gonna be left out in the cold when this season ends. I feel like there will never be a proper ending to the show that will satisfy the mysteries that they set up in seasons past. I am not really pissed at the show, just the showrunners I can never be mad at the show, I love the show...If that makes any sense...

    ReplyDelete
  34. It is not really the content of the show that is getting to me, it is the momentum of the show in regards to the looming threat of cancellation. Last season I had no worry in the renewal/cancellation of the show. I just had the feeling that it would be renewed. This year not so much. I normally love the standalone eps, but this year they are making me very anxious.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Thank you Ricky, it does make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  36.  If that's the case, I wish they'd let the audience in on it because that's not the impression I'm getting from Walter.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think this season is the weakest so far, but I wouldn't be so upset if it weren't for the possible cancellation of the show either. This year my anxiety levels regarding the looming cancellation threat are through the roof. And I would be very upset if this were the last season because Fringe can do so much better and it deserves to have the best last season possible. Having said so, I'm feeling reassured after the last few episodes, I think (hope) the season is back on track. 4x06 was absolutely amazing and 4x08 + 4x09 were awesome episodes. 4x10 was a really good standalone too, IMO, so the season is picking up and I'm feeling confident that this trend will remain!

I do still miss our characters from seasons 1-3, but that's another story...

  38. I keep watching Fringe , we are only half the season, the final judgment will
give him until the end .Perhaps the episodes they have to go make me change
my mind .These 2 are not Walter "Our two " .3 Perhaps this universe and
    this altenative
