  1. I love Katie so much (I want to marathon Harper's Island again), but not sure if interested.

  2. I've only ever seen her in Supernatural but she honestly doesn't do much for me as an actress.
She's probably the nicest person in the world but I didn't find her particularly interesting or charismatic.

  3. CW I HATE YOU. Now you have to order this, because Katie Cassidy is AWESOME

  4. I'd like to say this is a surprise, but this is exactly the type of casting move I expect from CW.
Nice enough woman I'm sure, but she never impressed me on anything. She's not terrible, not good, and not a very interesting addition to this series. Strike one CW's Arrow.

  5. The more news that comes out about this, the less I feel like I'll be watching this show.

  6. Hmmm...not a casting choice I'd be wildly happy about if I'd been planning to watch this show. The only thing I've seen Katie Cassidy in is Supernatural when she played Ruby in S3 and I have to say, she didn't really light the screen on fire then.

  7. Trust me, don't judge Katie from her Ruby days (I speak from experience. I wasn't too impressed with her in SPN either).

  8. This pilot just got a hell of a lot more interesting.

  9. I don't care either way about Katie Cassidy but there is no doubt that casting her increases the chances that this pilot will be picked up.  She's a perennial CW favorite.  I look forward to seeing her in this part, at least for a couple of episodes.

  10.  I liked Cassidy's smartass version of Ruby.

  11. I like her but it's not enough to sell me on the show. I'm just not big on superhero type stuff, I guess.

  12. NOW I AM OFFICIALLY SOLD....AS IF CASTING STEPHEN AMELL WASN'T A GOOD ENOUGH REASON FOR ME TO WATCH ALREADY. HA

  13. I like her as Ruby and might give this a look because of her, but I get that she's not a flavor for everyone.

  14. I am intrigued now.Katie was the best original thing about the Melrose place revevil. So I might have to check It out.If they order It maybe air It after Vampire Diaries.

  15.  "She's a perennial CW favorite."
I think that this phrase sums up one of the problems.

If youkeep recycling the same food even covered in different sauces, you tend to not tintillate your palate any more and I suppose the same thing could be applied to actors, not just on the CW but in general.
There are lots of guest stars who have been on the various CW shows and who have had great charisma; maybe one of them should have been given a chance.

  16. I love Katie, so I'd probably check out the pilot episode, but... I don't know.
