Thanks to Steffen for the heads up.
Dave Walker at the New Orleans Times-Picayune is the man I trust on all things "Treme," and he has a significant piece of news today: HBO has delayed the "Treme" season 3 premiere date until sometime in the fall.

My husband and I just starting watching it a week ago. He and I were among the earlier groups that helped rebuild, so it was interesting to see how the outside help would appear to the NOLA natives. It's a little slow, so I don't know if we'll keep watching.
ReplyDeleteI almost expected something like this already looking at the other HBO premiere dates. I can live with it even though I also wouldn't have minded an earlier return date.
ReplyDeleteI have put off watching it for some time and then finally started some time last year and watched it within a rather short time. Don't know why there are so many negative voices about it, I guess too many people expected another The Wire. It's just a very different show, but not less excellent than The Wire. It's a tale about rebuilding and about creativity which is something you rarely see on TV, so I guess it's not everybody's cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteThe guys that were also on The Wire play pretty different roles, but Wendell Pierce nails his one. I think Peters is good too, but quite often I don't really like his character.
