ReplyDeleteAh that's not a bad wait at all. At least the show has set dates...unlike Community. Sorry I'm still upset about that. Anyway, not that bad of a break, hopefully it'll have a strong little run.

ReplyDeletemakes sense March sweeps and all, plus they're only filming episode 16 now and Jared will be taking time off in March so I guess the longer they delay airing of episodes the better. Did that make sense?
ReplyDeleteI hope that the old adage of "Absence makes the heart grow fonder, " really kicks in, and lots of extra Nielsen Box possessers tune in a week on Friday, and also on the 9th of March!

ReplyDeleteMy bet Jared isn't going to take the whole month. An episode takes 8-10 filming....
agree I dont think it'll be the whole month either, probably a few weeks and that wont stop filming, they can work around him for an episode or two which is all it is likely to be.
ReplyDeleteLittle breaks now are the price of having such a short winter hiatus. It all evens out in the end. If this were last year, we'd still be in the big winter hiatus.

ReplyDeleteYes, I think short breaks are definitely preferable to long ones.
ReplyDeleteThe shorter ones keep your interest alive and your viewing up to date, and give one something relatively recent to continue commenting on.
I had rather have these short breaks instead of the 2-3 month ones. Maybe the new guy is trying to keep us from pulling all our hair out. Thanks for the heads up.

ReplyDeleteI'm upset about it, too.. I can't believe they still haven't given us concrete news on when it's returning.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been better if they had aired 11, 12 and 13 consecutiive weeks ending Dean's arc then had a break for several weks and come back for March sweeps and dive into Sam/Leviathan's/Cas so not to loose momentum in those more intense storylines.
ReplyDeleteI am going to lose my mind... I think every season should be at LEAST 26 episodes, the season should start the last week of August, 13 before the hiatus (the hiatus should start right after thanksgiving and end the second week in January), I honestly don't know why they do this... it tears down the momentum (especially after the big wins) but still better than the last couple of years, so I'll take what I can get
ReplyDeleteIt's to be expected. 3 episodes in a row is pretty good, and winter break wasn't as long so I'm not going to complain. I can handle 2 weeks without, it's when it's a month or more longer (like in the summer) that drives me crazy. lol
ReplyDeleteIts really not that bad of a break. If this was last season, we wouldn't have even had any new episodes by now. I'm happy with these little breaks

TVD & TSC both aired 3 new episodes before their "winter break" and the only I think of that Nikita/SPN didn't air their new ep 13 is because The CW wanted to re-encore their stupid reality show, Remodeled, in Nikita's spot. It's not that I have any objection per se to another three week break , then air ep 17... and so forth until the next break, it's that exactly as you said and the show will lose momentum again instead of building excitement for Sam's breakdown and MC's return.

ReplyDeleteAgain, like I said in the last hiatus post, this happens every season. The second half of the CW season always includes more repeats than the first half. This is normal.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they will have really strong episodes coming out of breaks. I can see the schedule all messed up having to get Misha and Jim back into some episodes. I'm watching season one again on TNT. It was so much better then.
ReplyDeletehey I think it ok and we do get 3 in a row too but I tape the shows so it gives me time off so i can see a new movie in theaters or something like that its ok with me just get the season over allready god!
