Supernatural - Midseason Polls - Favorite Comedy Episode Semifinals

And then there were four. Making it into the semifinals for the best Supernatural comedy episode are: Changing Channels, Bad Day at Black Rock, The French Mistake, and Mystery Spot. Now it becomes impossible for me because my two favorite comedy episodes are going against each other. Still it's a good excuse for a rewatch. Voting will end when Supernatural begins in St. Louis -woo hoo! Until then, enjoy the anticipation before Adventures in Babysitting lands on your screen. Here's to an exciting race to Leviathan end and an explanation of unicorns.





In other news, the best song-to-scene nominee list is complete. They are listed in ranked order by number of nominations for the first 10 and where they landed in the run-off poll for the last 6. The contest will take place during the summer hiatus. Thanks to everyone who participated.

    This is the hardest round to me because my favorite comedies are Changing Channels and Bad Day at Black Rock.  A rewatch is in order.

    Changing Channels (it gets the edge cause of Gabriel).
    and...
    Mystery Spot (partially cause of Trickster/Gabriel, but also because I didn't really like The French Mistake)

    I just rewatched Changing Channels and Bad Day at Black Rock a few days ago and as much as I love BDaBR and as much as I laugh at a lot of the scenes, Changing Channels is just overall funnier...

    I voted French Mistake as well, because it is far funnier than Mystery Spot, in fact I just watched it again tonight! Such funny, funny scenes - my favorite has to be when Sam finds the clip of Jensen on Days of Our Lives...both of their faces are hilarious!

    Black Rock and Mystery Spot.  I thought Changing Channels was funny, but I can never forgive the episode for taking away my Trickster and making him an angry angel instead of a mischievous Loki/Anasazi sort.  French Mistake was funny too, but I thought the humor was a bit easier than Bad Day since it was mostly fan nods and inside jokes.

    I love all four but voted Changing Channels and The French Mistake because those two are funnier overall to me, too, as comedies, not necessarily as "dramadies". I still consider MS more drama than comedy and the better overall episode than TFM.

    So....tossed an imaginary dart and an imaginary donkey and picked Changing Channels cause otherwise I'd just be bouncing back and forth.  French Mistake was a pretty easy choice for me.

    all four episodes are amazing and are prob the best 4 comedies supernatural has given us. this being the case, i really don't mind who makes it to the finale.
    i voted the french mistake. i found this one a hundred times easier than the other one because, regardless of how much i love mystery spot, the french mistake is a far better comedy.
    changing channels vs bad day at black rock was really hard. without re-watching either of them (although it does sound like a good idea :D), i voted bad day at black rock. they were both so different so so amazingly funny but i just think i... ok, i honestly can't explain my choice. i went with my gut and picked. it does't matter, they both win at life anyhow :D
    can't wait for the finale!!

    mine too. it was a tough pick. i ended up just going with one at random or i would be stuck agonizing over it for the next 5 hours

    Ahhhh now it starts to get difficult.. the first was a bit difficult, but my affinity for Gabriel won out in the end - I chose Changing Channels.  I really enjoyed the comedic aspects of the episode, but I also loved the parallels that were drawn between Sam/Dean and Lucifer/Michael, forcing everyone to realize that this thing was much bigger than they realized.  

    The second poll was difficult as well, but my (not so) secret love for meta caused The French Mistake to win in the end.  I also have a soft spot for Balthazar, and watching the boys "try" to act is always hilarious.. I also love that the writers (and actors) are okay with poking fun at the show.  I always smile to myself when Dean asks why anyone would want to watch their lives, and Sam answers, "According to the interviewer, not very many people do."

    Well,it's not a hard poll for me..I'm kind of sad to vote against two brilliant episodes,that's for sure,but I didn't struggle with my choices.

    Yes, that is one of my favorite lines from the ep and Jared trying to figure out what to do with his arms was just so funny.

    Changing Channels and BDABR were both great episodes but I give my vote to BDABR because there were so many bits and pieces I liked in it,  from John's secret lock-up.... to the two rather incompetent thieves.... to Bela ....to Sam's skinned knees.....the loss of the shoe..... Batman etc., etc.

    Then Mystery Spot, although I don't really consider it a comedy. However, it's so epic that it deserves to win here too.

    1.  I love both episodes but Changing Channels is just funnier. lol  It's the funniest episode ever on SPN

    2.  French Mistake and that wasn't done lightly.  Like #1, I like both of these episode.

    The music list is interesting.  It's going to be a tough one during the summer hiatus.

    So hard! First poll was the hardest - I went with Changing Channels but it was tough to vote against Sam's lost shoe face and Dean's "I'm Batman". Went for The French Mistake - Mystery Spot is great but TFM is hilarious.
