  2. Meh, Shut Up... wasn't that bad. Not thrilled myself, but not cursing he fates either.

  3. "Shut Up..." was ok, not great but Rte 666 was my least favorite episode of S1. I thought Bugs was better because even though it had cheesy special effects it had a lot of good brother moments.

  4. Amazon warriors huh.  That will be......interesting.  Not really sure what to make of this one.  I hope it's got a lot of snark.

  5. For all its faults, and there are many, Route 666 had some funny lines.  It was just the most ridiculous plot and some terrible guest acting that brought the whole thing down to worst of status.

  6. i was hoping the two Ben wrote this...

7.14 written by Dabb and Lofflin

    and i think

7.15 is by Edlund and 7.17 by Sera Gamble.... not sure yet..

  7. I always thought Dean would get in trouble for thinking with his second brain =D.

  8. I didn't find "Shut Up Doctor Phil" that bad, Route 666 I have to agree wasn't great.

I'm holding my tongue until this episode airs. May be interesting. Haven't seen it yet.

  9. JENNA!!!  I'm excited to see Sara Canning! Yay! I miss her on the Vampire Diaries.

I think her and Dean will look good together.  I'm hoping they'll have good chemistry.  I don't know if it's just me, but some of Dean's love interest (like Anna and Lisa) fall flat in the chemistry department which is weird since it's Dean! I wonder what the complication is going to be.  I really hope it's not a male pregnancy, because I hated it when Charmed did it twice in one season!

But I'm really excited for Sara Canning!! I hate that we're going to have to wait until February to see it!

  12. That's why the it was originally called Amazon.com:)
Well, the Amazons sound interesting. Maybe we'll even run into Wonder Woman!

  16. ha it was bound to happen sometime!

  17. In a way, I suppose that's reassuring.  The day Dean cracks down to research and Sam goes to drink his life away, I'll really worry about what they're doing with the show.

  18. true

Cant complain smart, hard working guys are sexy. I get the impression the writers are trying to have Sam follow in Bobby's footsteps. I like the idea of Sam as the new Bobby type character in the hunting world, it'd suit him.

  19. I dont know why but I have a feeling this episode will be this seasons Mannequin 3. I sence a lot of cringing and fast forwarding with this one.

On a plus I hear Ben Edlund wrote episode 15 the one with the return of Lucifer?

  20. This sound like the Charmed episode where Leo and Daryl are taken by the Amazonian tribe and made to fight, they take warrior types-strong, verile, easy?-sleep with them/trick them/use them in rituals/use them to get knocked up?

Dean gets to be the warrior the tribe go after.

Looks like Sam is going to have to save his brother before he becomes the next victim.

Obviously Sam isnt a real hunter/warrior/good enough so they wont want him, as is the norm these days?

  21. This premise seems dubious but I'm glad to have Canning (Aunt Jenna) on the show.

  22. Well it can't be worse than that goddamn wedding episode with Becky. I've even forgot the title, ugh.

  23. I think it sounds far more interesting than all the MOTWs so far this season. Might be really cool.

  24. Oh, yeah the Valkyries!  But the Valkyries were only suppose to take the souls of warriors.  I'm not sure what the show is going to do with Amazon women.  Lately, the writers are creating their own mythology for monsters.  I'm not too worried about Sam not being the warrior. It's too early to tell and it could just be an opportunity thing.  Dean was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don't think it's going to be anything negative towards Sam. They might take interest in Sam when they meet him or maybe they're not worried about warriors and they are just looking for some willing guy. It would make sense if the tribe went after both brothers, but if they don't I don't think it will have anything to do with Sam not being good enough. Yes, I'll be angry if they do turn it into something like Sam is too crazy or an abomination while Dean is pure and best warrior, but I highly doubt that is going to happen, but there isn't enough to go on.

I'm hoping Sam will have a good role in this episode and the brothers will kick butt instead just getting beat up by a bunch of women

  25. crap I forgot they were Valkyries now I dont think its the warrior thing, I think its a fertility thing. They find willing and easy men in order to knock them up and/or sacrifice them to some fertility goddess.

And yeah most likely an opportunistic thing, Dean in a bar flirting seemingly easy?

  26. Crowley is the king of snark, there is no snark without Crowley.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I didn't think about the sacrificing men thing, but that makes a lot of sense and it fits in with the mythology of the Amazon women.  And just quickly looking on Wikipedia, the Amazons didn't care about warriors, they just wanted to keep their race going.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Exactly. Amazons gotta have sex with humans to mantain their race, but they find it disgusting, some kind of god punishment, what fits with the spoiler about Lydia being cold after the act. Amazons kill their sex partners when they got what they need.

  29. Truer words were never spoken

  30. *sigh*

So again, they're sending Sam off to research while Dean gets all the action (literally).  I hope I'm wrong, but it sounds like just another excuse to get Sam off-camera so that Dean can have all the focus and POV.  "Let's give Sam another mostly-useless task to keep him occupied while Dean has all the fun/action/exploration/POV/one-liners/etc."  Pretty soon the press releases will just say "Dean investigates a haunting at an old mill and discovers something unusual about the spirit - meanwhile, Sam does their laundry and learns not to mix darks and lights."

  31. the episode was previously titled Knocked Up so i'm thinking that Dean ends up getting this Lydia chick pregnant. like the condom breaking or something
