  5. This looks great. I love the humor. Dean practically yelling when he first went up had me laughing out loud.

  6. Not sure about this. The tone feels off. Too jolly by far. Has Bobby not just died, or at best is in a coma? Where is Sam? Why is Dean working with someone else? It's looking more and more like yet another parting of the ways for Dean and Sam, maybe due to a disagreement about whether to go after Dick. I know they always end up back together but never for long before something else comes along to introduce some more angst. I'm getting pretty sick of it.

I'm not freaking out because s7 has been great so far. I'm going to reserve judgment. But I am worried that this is going to disappoint me.

Wow!  There's just something about men in toolbelts!

  8. I tend to agree. Dean sure didn't look like a guy who had just lost his surrogate father. So I'm hopeful that means Bobby is alive. I also agree I don't like the brothers apart yet again. Sigh...

  9. The episode after John died was Everybody Loves a Clown. They don't mourn long on this show.

  10. So Frank's back and Dean hates heights.  Interesting.  I was waiting for the all-angst desolation blow out but it appears they are going a different way.  I'm good with that.

  11. haha loved this! & i bet that in the beginning dean was talking to sam b/c they probably split up with dean wanting to find dick and sam wanting to help the girl's parents... just guessing! & i can't wait till friday ;)

  12. I don't think we need to put the panic button after seeing less than 2 minutes of a 40 mins. episode

  13. Thanks! Although the clip has me confused and wondering where the heck is Sam and how is that old guy?! He ain't Bobby!!!

  14. Poor Dean! He's clearly afraid of the heights and he went all this way for nothing! Can't wait;)

  15. They were mourning massively in ELAC. That was the ep where Dean trashes the Impala. And they continued to deal with John's death in a subtle, very moving way right through a lot of s2. IMO their reactions to John's death were very well done.

  16. Totally agree. As I said I am trying to reserve judgement. But this seems an odd section of the ep to pick for the promo IMO. It is giving away the appearance of Frank. Also it is giving the impression that a) the boys are not working together b) they are totally over Bobby c) this is going to be a light-hearted ep. If the ep turns out to be all of those things I won't be happy. I totally agree that, just based on this, we can't judge. But if those 3 things aren't true, and they know that most people wouldn't be happy if they were, why give that impression by choosing this clip? Isn't it supposed to whet our appetites?

  17. Looking forward to a new episode, this one looks as if it could be fun.

  18. If Bobby is gone, I don't want Frank Devereaux being the new know-it-all informer whenever the boys need help, no matter how funny he can be with his crankiness. I sure hope the writers aren't going down that road.

  19. must.. not.. spoil myself..

  20. Agree. There were a couple of scenes of grief, and then it transitioned into what was in part a comedy episode. I wouldn't be surprised if they did something similar with Bobby.

  21. For all we know Bobby is just in a coma and this episode take place 1-2 months later and we already know that Dean will come rescue his brother with the promo and the promo pics, and there's no need to give the best scenes away. Any sneak peek is better than no ones

    ReplyDelete
  22. I agree they shouldn't give the best scenes away. And I know Deam rescues Sam etc. But the clip is meant to sell the ep. It is meant to make us want to watch it. For my money it doesn't do a great job of that.

  23.  This show will never change . So we have Dean and his future Bobby replacement so where is the other  one you know the tall one forget his name , the one whose has a s in his name.Getting his ear nibbled off , getting coffee? cleared off ? the excitment of it all.

  24. Have you managed to see the whole ep before the rest of us Sharonally? If not then you don't really have anything to base this on. I agree the clip gives this impression - Dean without Sam, Frank instead of Bobby etc - but it may not turn out that way. Fingers crossed!

    ReplyDelete
  25. im actually looking forward to the boys being without bobby i think it could be interesting and i love this frank guy i hope we see more of him in future eps

    ReplyDelete
  26. I like Frank - he's annoyingly cool. He could never replace Bobby, but then he's nothing like Bobby, so even if he recurs I'm good with that. I'm pleased we'll be getting a little humor. I loved Death's Door, and I will survive even if Bobby doesn't, but I actually don't want an entire episode of the Winchesters in mourning. Yes, Bobby should be mourned (IF he's dead) but I've had 5 weeks to to do that. I'm at a place now where I want to see Winchesters get mad. Cuz when they do that they get DANGEROUS!!

  27.  Does it matter ? I  mean will it change how you view the episode. Lets say the sarcastic in me came out. What can I  say.

    ReplyDelete
  28. If Bobby is alive and just in a coma 'til they save him later than he won't be replace, how about waiting to see the episode before already hating it?

  29. I was thinking her opinion has about as much basis as several comments about the tone being inappropriate given Bobby's presumed death and a prediction of angst because Sam and Dean appear separated again. Saying you're not judging several times doesn't change the fact that in the rest of your posts were you judging and making predictions based on very little information.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I have judged the clip - which we have seen, so that is perfectly valid. I have NOT EVER pre-judged the ep based on this clip which is what the poster I was responding to has done. In fact I have repeatedly - here and elsewhere - said that IF this is representative of the ep then I won't be happy, but that I am not pre judging as the clips can be mis leading. My issue isn't with judgement, it is with PRE judgement. So you implication of hypocrisy in my response to Sharonally is absolutely not valid.

    ReplyDelete
  31. There were assumptions in your comments and judgments in those assumptions, but my main problem is with your assertion that Sharon isn't allowed to prejudge the episode. Why do you get to decide how other people can react to a promo clip?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I didn't tell her she couldn't prejudge it. She can react how she wants. And I can comment on her reaction however I want so long as I am polite, which I am.

I did say that she had no basis on which to react as she did unless she has a crystal ball, or has had an advanced screening. I stand by that.

    ReplyDelete
  33. She wasn't literally saying she knew how the whole episode would play out. Her comment was clearly opinion. I have no issue with someone disagreeing with someone's opinion politely, but saying a person has no basis for that opinion is something else. But let's move on.

  34. Thank you.  I am looking forward to tonight.  It's like feeding an addiction. lol

  35. To all of the above, Jim Beaver Tweeted that we should not be mourning YET in so many words.  He hinted that Bobby did not die.   So, why don't we wait and see what's going on?  There's also quite a bit of horror in this one from all the vampire pics of Sam getting bitten.
