The showrunner was supposed to have said on Friday (January 20) that a third series of the BBC drama - which concluded last Sunday (January 15) - would air later this year.

    I was very surprised when Moff said it would be this year too, with everybodies schedules and the sheer amount of time they need for post production made it seem very unlikely.  So I'm kinda glad that they are going to take their time over it and produce the best they possibly can rather than rush it.

    :(  I hope to God I didn't miss Season 2 here in the states, have I?  I love the chemistry between Watson & Holmes.  And yes, I think THIS Watson is deserving of top billing.
