Sherlock executive producer Sue Vertue has dismissed suggestions apparently made by husband Steven Moffat that the programme will return in 2012. The showrunner was supposed to have said on Friday (January 20) that a third series of the BBC drama - which concluded last Sunday (January 15) - would air later this year.
Sorry to be a killjoy but @steven_moffat didn't actually mean S3 of #sherlock would tx before end of year.I think that is sadly unlikely.

I knew it, no chance not with everyone's schedule
ReplyDeleteSad biut there it is.
ReplyDeleteThat's so bad. So we have to wait at least a year! That's gonna be a nightmare. I already watched entire series again!
ReplyDeleteNot surprising given everyone's busy schedules.
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
ReplyDeleteOh well....
ReplyDeleteThis makes me sad. I love this show.
ReplyDeleteNo real surprise...but before it was denied, we could have had hope. :D
ReplyDeleteI figured that it was unlikely to be this year. Shame though, would love more episodes soon.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhh!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was very surprised when Moff said it would be this year too, with everybodies schedules and the sheer amount of time they need for post production made it seem very unlikely. So I'm kinda glad that they are going to take their time over it and produce the best they possibly can rather than rush it.
ReplyDeletenow I'm sad :(
ReplyDeleteYeah, that never seemed at all likely. A pity, but not a surprise.
ReplyDelete:( I hope to God I didn't miss Season 2 here in the states, have I? I love the chemistry between Watson & Holmes. And yes, I think THIS Watson is deserving of top billing.
ReplyDeleteShe is the real dominatrix i guess :/
