#sherlock Yes of course there's going to be a third series - it was commissioned at the same time as the second. Gotcha!

Sherlock - Season 3 - Confirmed

Sherlock
Thanks to Darq and Nuno for the heads up.

Thank God! If last year's cliffhanger was hard to get out, this year's resolution is dang near impossible. I'm still reeling!
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who thinks that this show should have a 55 min duration and six episodes/season?
ReplyDeleteThat's excellent news. I kind of assumed there would be but it's nice to have it confirmed.
ReplyDeleteOh and no, I like having stories that are an hour and a half. Would much rather hvae 3 done properly than 6 that were rushed, or even worse splitting the episodes in two and haveing to wait a week for the second half of a story. that would compeltely kill it as far asI am concerned.
Thank God! Last episode was AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteYay!!
ReplyDeleteBBC would have been fooling not to.
ReplyDeleteGreat news
ReplyDeleteGreat news.
ReplyDeleteyay!! :D
ReplyDeleteOne recommendation: in order to ease the hiatus that will last at least a year, read up the 'Empty House', even if you did before. Great story
ReplyDeleteSteven Moffat is such a troll!
ReplyDeleteHe totally got me. I love him for that ;-)
I like the actual format. It give the writers time to build the story properly.
ReplyDeleteBut I wouldn't mind more episodes ;-)
I suspect we won't have new eps until the end of 2013 because everyone is so busy but it will be worth the wait because the quality of the acting, writing and directing has been perfect so far. Rather they took their time with it.
ReplyDeleteSPOILERS FOR 2x03 **** This is what I think happened... It might not be right but.... I think Sherlock asked Molly for her help to fake his death. He only had minutes to plan but he is a genius so he probably knew just about what was going to happen. I think he used Moriarty's body (remember how in the actual stories they never found Moriarty's body??) as his own and threw it off the building as himself because of the whole "I am you and you are me" deal that went on right before Moriarty blew his brains out. The gun shot wouldnt have been too noticable because of all the blood from his head. I think John didnt recognize him because remember he was nocked down? Maybe someone from Sherlock's homeless network? Perhaps reminicent of the Hounds of Baskerville? So he only saw what he "wanted" to see? Once he was taken into Bart's all Molly had to do was switch Moriarty's body with one slightly more Sherlock-y and smash his head in so the face was unrecognizable.... That might not have been what happened but, well, thats my take on it...
ReplyDeleteThank you, great news.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised at this news...can't wait for the third series but I'm guessing it'll be a long wait.
ReplyDeletewe saw him jump tho, i do think he planned a catch or something with molly, watson didnt see him hit the ground, no one did ! and the knocking him over was probs to stall him so he could 'fake' being dead.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant news, just have to wait for 2013 now I bet. x.x
ReplyDeleteAlso - the 'medics' turned up and took his body away rediculously fast and disappearred into an alley with it ...helloooooo!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSneaky, sneaky Moffat...
ReplyDeleteGreat news!
I didn't know anything about Benedict Cumberbatch or Martin Freeman until this show and now I can call myself a full blown fan. The cliff hanger this season was something special and I look forward to Watching Sherlock come back from depths of hell to explain to Watson why he faked his death, and how. Also I want to know why Watson couldn't figure out Sherlock was leaving him clues just before he jumped, that is if he actually jumped or if Molly created of mask of Sherlock's face, planted it on Moriarty and throw him off the roof. Maybe not, but something close to that surely took place because nothing else makes any sense.
ReplyDeleteSure hope that there's gonna be more than 3! :)
ReplyDeleteMore episodes of the same length as they are now, please. :)
ReplyDeleteOkay so heres my guess on sherlocks mysterious death and reapperance on the last episode. I think Molly had helped him with something to do with the big trick, what exactly? Im not quite sure. And does anyone remember when they were in Baskerville and they were discussing them creating and experimenting with clones? That one specific clue was put there for a reason. What reason? well I have a guess... That sherlock was cloned and then the clone jumped/was thrown off the building. Therefore The real sherlock would be safe. A little out there But a good possibility.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with that theory is that he is moving in the air. There is no way Moriarty could have been moving. Also, he is quite a bit shorter than Sherlock. I think John would know the difference. Further more, John was talking to Sherlock, and could see him.
