I came across this on SimplyTV and thought it was interesting. Hmmmmmmm.
While watching the second episode of the latest series, the Mark Gatiss written The Hounds of Baskerville, we think we spotted a TARDIS in the opening scene. Here is a pic...

I also Took a 720p screencap of the Episode.
First is flash filled and fade corrected edited cap and I also included the original just to compare.

The shape is certainly right, I cannot see any color to the shape, but through fog and in the distant color fades....
ReplyDeleteI guess it could be some out building or a prop truck left in frame by mistake... XD
cool beans, but probably not
ReplyDeleteIN MY HEAD IT IS THE TARDIS and the Doctor takes Sherlock and John on adventures and they always clash because they are bother know it alls and life is perfect. Still wanted the big cliffhanger of mid S6 of Who to have been the TARDIS crashlanding at 221B Baker St.
ReplyDeleteI seriously want that crossover!!!
ReplyDeletethat would be spectacular! lol
ReplyDeleteI've seen sooo much speculation about this already LOL Maybe we're gonna get a DW episode where they land in that forest for some reason, but all we get is a howling dog in the background. We wouldn't need more to have a crossover XD
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure it's the TARDIS... and this wasn't the only Doctor Who reference in the episode. First of all, Russell Tovey. He palyed Alonso in DW (Allons-Y, Alonso), this is not a reference per say but you know, it may or may not be a coincidence. Second, I'm pretty sure that church with the graveyard where John and Sherlock are when Sherlock says that he only has one friend, was the same one from DW season 5 episodes "The Hungry Earth"/"Cold Blood" (or a very similar one). Also the boy in these episodes quoted "Once you've ruled out the impossible..." from Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock said this quote on "The Hounds Of Baskerville". And, at last, the gas mask that Robert wore... "Are you my mommy?" lol... It's impossible not to remember those Doctor Who episodes ;)
ReplyDeleteI might be over reacting, but I like to think Moffat did all of these on purpose!
That's nice;) Didn't notice it!
ReplyDeleteGattis said on his twitter that it isn't the TARDIS.

sorry x/
Shame that Mark Gatiss has said that it isn't the Tardis - would have cool if it was. And whoever spotted that has eagle-eyes!
ReplyDeletePity... But hey, in my mind, it will /still/ be the TARDIS, logic and official statement be damned!.
ReplyDeleteMoffat!!
