-Ratings Breakdown:
With CBS in all repeats, the home of The Bachelor, ABC, led this fourth Monday in January in the overnights with a four-tenth of a rating point advantage over second-place Fox. Third overall was CBS, followed by NBC and, of course, distant The CW.
The Bachelor averaged a 6.0 rating/9 share from 8-10 p.m., with only two-tenths of a rating point separating the four half hours. Here is the half-hour breakdown:
The Bachelor (ABC)
8:00 p.m.: 5.9/ 9 (#2)
8:30 p.m.: 5.9/ 9 (#2)
9:00 p.m.: 5.8/ 9 (#3)
9:30 p.m.: 6.1/ 9 (#1)
The Bachelor led into older-skewing Castle at a dominant 7.4/12 at 10 p.m. Comparably, Castle was the highest rated show of the evening in the overnights.
In week two news, Alcatraz on Fox at 9 p.m. was a perfect fit out of House (#1: 6.1/ 9 at 8 p.m.), with a second-place 6.0/ 9 at 9 p.m. One week earlier, the two-hour debut of Alcatraz scored a 6.8/10 on Jan. 23. By the overnight numbers, that was a loss of only 12 percent.
Over at encore populated CBS, How I Met Your Mother opened with a 4.8/ 7 at 8 p.m. (#3), followed by 2 Broke Girls (#3: 5.3/ 8), Two and a Half Men (#1: 6.6/10), Mike & Molly (#3: 5.8/ 9) and Hawaii Five-O (#3: 4.6/ 7) from 8:30-11 p.m.
Elsewhere, NBC aired Who’s Still Standing (#4: 3.7/ 6 at 8 p.m.) and two-hours of the GOP debate on Rock Center With Brian Williams (4.9/ 8 from 9-11 p.m.). And The CW capped off the evening with its combination of Gossip Girl (#5: 1.1/ 2) and fall entry Hart of Dixie (#5: 1.2/ 2).

Thanks!
ReplyDeletePleased to see Alcatraz did well second week out.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see Alcatraz is staying strong. I'm too attached to the show to see it last only one season.
ReplyDeleteBEST GossipGirl episode in a while. Next week's ratings should be up.
ReplyDeleteThanks.. good for Castle!
ReplyDeleteOMG WOW!!! Go Castle!!! :D
ReplyDeleteCastle yay!! :D
ReplyDeleteGood that Alcatraz didn't drop steeply in the second episode. Although apparently House+Alcatraz is < Alcatrazx2. (3.0 vs 3.3) ... Although it didn't follow the trend Fringe's second episode did either... (Fringe 1.02 built from 1.01's 3.2 and had a 5.2...) Maybe it'll either stay right around 3.0? One can hope :)
ReplyDeleteGood for Alcatraz. The show has potential.
ReplyDeleteNot bad Alcatraz not bad at all
ReplyDeleteGood to see House's rating back up.
ReplyDeletehello a question Explain it to me someone That is more importantViewers (Millionsor18-49 Rating? I do not Understand please reply thanks
ReplyDeleteCastle only got 2.1 in the demo but went up from last week in overall? Ratings are a strange thing...
ReplyDeleteWooHoo! Go Castle! Next episode is going to break records... lol
ReplyDeleteGo Castle :D
ReplyDeletelol the personal bias of the author never ceases to amaze me. House won the night in the most important 18-39 demo and isn`t mention as a winner or at least honorable mention. i think it is worth to note. Ah right you seem to hate House and it is more fun to say that it should get cancelled though the demo was allways much better than Castle last night or last week or the week before.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to house, it seems to still have legs :)
Castle wins total viewers again. But glad to see House gaining to a 3.1 demo.
ReplyDeleteCastle did great!
ReplyDeleteCastle #1!! :))
