and btw elijah has to be seriously pist at klaus right?.....RIGHT? I mean common it looks from the preview he may possibly on team klaus but common twice klaus betrayed him and "killed him", hopefully they will tell him and show him the proof that klaus killed his mom, and seriously after all that including klaus doing that to his entire family why would elijah even think about teaming with klaus again? good pick tho for damon to bring back someone cause he doesnt know what the twins r going to be like.

  6. I just can't figure out how they make this show so fast paced and yet so fleshed out. Serialized shows really just don't get any better (well, maybe if we take out some of the teenage drama...but I've grown accustomed to it, so it can stay)

  8. I loved it!!!! I'm in too much of my "in aww" moment, so i'm not gonna rant right now, like I usually do, but i'll be back to do it later, lol

  9. Awesome. This show never fails to "bring it" and in such a well written manner. I am still on the fence about Bonnie's mom, as I didn't completely buy the explanation of why she left. I am glad that Bonnie eventually showed her anger towards her mother as I thought that she seemed awfully level going to see the woman who abandoned her for 15 years just she didn't want to be a witch anymore. Loved that Damon has got his bromance buddy's back, and that it seems that Caroline's dad is kinda remorseful after essentially shunning Caroline when he left town last time. Good to see that Tyler loves Caroline so much that he is willing to repeatedly break every bone in his body to keep her safe, and that Stefan is not ok with Damon's advances towards Elena, even though he has to realize that his actions are helping to push her in that direction. Can't wait to see what happens next, and can we all say it? Elijah's back!

  10. stefan was almost stefan and elijah is back. woohoo

  11. Good move, Damon. I was wondering if he'd thought to do that.  That should mess up Klaus for a spell. Maybe.

  12. True. That's why I don't even refer to the show as a guilty pleasure anymore. It's just a well done drama. Serialized shows don't usually pack so much in, especially without making it feel to jumbled and choppy and confusing. The pace of this show is outstanding imo.

  13. aww.. Excellent episode! all of it really. despite everything, I felt so bad for Stefan when Elena told him about the kiss. eventhough I root for Damon

  14. I thought it was actually a pretty mediocre episode by Vampire Diaries standards.  It seemed to take everything that was awesome about last week's episode, and stomp on it.  But then Elijah was there, and I felt much better.

  15. ELIJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

  16. I was seriously screaming OMG He's back!!! Oh,Elijah, how much you've been missed!!!
So,with the exception of the most handsome vampire's return, and the bro fight between Stefan & Damon about the kiss and rest of the episode was boring.I don't like Bonnie and I don't like her mother either or jeremy! They are getting in the way IMO...

  17. I think he will be on team Damon. Damon undaggered him, which I take was against his own will bcs he doesn't like Elijah at all. Therefore, Elijah are in dept to Damon. And Elijah is a honorable man in general, except for that one thing in episode 21. And seriously, why doesn't Elijah just undagger Kol, Finn and Rebekah himself? Yeah, Klaus would try and stop him but maybe Damon and Stefan can stall Klaus for a while so Elijah can undagger them.

  18. Most unlikely. Didn't Vicki talk to her on the other side??? If she's in there, she will be all bones...

  19. Loved the ending!!!!!!!! Maybe Elijah can help!!

  20. Elijah!!! Awesome!!!

  21. I really loved all the Stefan / Elena moments, he's pretty much back to is old self

  22. Poor Daddy Forbes - I'm glad he's not gone, I always love seeing him!  As much as I hate Tyler right now, it was still hard to see him go through that.. it's cringe-worthy every time.  Still not sure that I trust Dr. Fell.. we'll see how she plays out over the next few episodes.  Also, Elijah is awake and looking piiiiiissed!

    ReplyDelete
  23. No he's not. He still has a long way back to his old self. In fact I don't think he'll become his old self. I think we soon will se a new Stefan who behaves a little like Damon. Cares about people and want the best of mystic falls. But reckless.

  24. I think it's the perfect entertainment fix, but not necessarily well-done in other respects.

Each plot is so similar to the previous. A plan to save their asses, details emerge and it gets more dangerous, one of them gets cold feet or thinks it's wrong (and or thinks that there is a better way) and the plan falls apart, but everyone (generally) survives to repeat it all again.

I'm finding the pattern in this is almost as obvious and repetitive as "24" was. Very entertaining for sure, but every episode feels the same, each season plot feels the same because of the adrenaline fueled format they use to create each episode and each season plot.

  25. Mediocre episode.

Too much of Bonnie being her like her old whiny bitchy self and Caroline being weak.

I also have to admit it is getting a bit old that every plan goes haywire because one of the gang mucks it up by being too hopeful, too kind-hearted or thinking they are doing the right thing. Every plot seems to start, evolve and end the same way, and while it's entertaining it is getting less and less dramatic as it becomes more and more repetitive.

Interesting that the new girl is using vampire blood to heal her patients!

The Bonnie's mom thing was a let down after a lot of build up.

Elijah returning is a nice twist and could add to the fun!

  27. Ha! XD

    Ooops... Sorrrrry.

  28. Yeah, I think that was the first time we've seen a little humanity in Stefan since he partnered with Klaus - he looked really vulnerable when Elena told him about the kiss, and dropped that cocky facade for a moment.  I'm also a Damon kinda girl, but still.. I think it showed us that the old Stefan is still in there, though he may be buried pretty deep.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I wouldn't say "pretty much", but I think it showed us that he's still in there.  This is the first real hint of vulnerability we've seen in him for a while, but I think he'll stomp it down and channel his feelings into that cocky, angry, new Stefan we've seen this season.

  30. I'm not sure what happened to Caroline - I thought she was finally getting stronger, and yeah, I get that it's hard to see someone you love in pain, but maybe a kick in the butt from her was what Tyler needed.  And I think Elijah is going to make things fun - he's going to be pretty cranky, and I think it'll shake things up a bit  :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I like the new stronger Caroline and thought we were past the other one. I agree I think it felt like Tyler needed to be pushed not coddled. OH well, still a fun episode!

    ReplyDelete
  32. cause he helped so much last time.  i hope he is on our side and not klaus's

  33. Was too incoherent to write a proper comment last night.
Best parts of episode: Elijah coming back with a heart rip, Stefan punching Damon and Dr Fell knocking out Damon cause it seems like anyone with a syringe can take down a vamp these days. Honorable mention: Damon being jealous of Meredith interfering with his bromance.Worst: Bonnie's story line= boring, also I think Jamie is a dead man walking (maybe losing him will get Abby her powers back?), Tyler and Mr. Forbes cause thats just weird, Klaus being whiny.

Also anyone notice how the coffins looked totally different in the house and in the 'safe'? Did Klaus change them or am I missing something.

  34. Elijah <3
I miss old kick ass Caroline. These days it seems everyone's kidnapping and torturing her. :(

  35. We are going to need the two weeks to recover.

  36. Elijah's back and boo Stefan still has feelings! but mostly ... Elijah's back! awesome!

  37. Admittedly I'm a total Delena shipper, but I was irritated that they proved time and time again that Stefan was 'gone' and then suddenly, when Damon and Elena hook up, he cares.

    ReplyDelete
  38. It did seem kind of sudden.. and I feel like he proved that to him, there were things more important than Elena.. so all of a sudden he cares when someone ELSE shows interest in her?  I guess he figures even if he beat their relationship into the ground, she still belongs to him in some weird way.

  39. An okay episode.
     - I think Bonnie was a little too receptive to her mother.  She should be more cautious.
     - Once again, Caroline's dad was useless.
     - Damon should have hit Stefan back.  You can't purposely turn yourself into a psycho and get pissed when your ex seeks out greener pastures, even if that pasture is your brother.
     - Even if Bonnie's mom doesn't have any magic, she and that kid should have been taking vervain.  She should have known better.
     - I'm still not entirely convinced Alaric's new gal pal isn't a little psycho.  I think Damon is on to something.
     - I keep trying to stay interested in the Tyler character but it's difficult.  I'm bored with him and the whole Caroline / Tyler saga.
     - Welcome back Elijah and well played, Damon.

    ReplyDelete
  40. He immediately killed one of Klaus' hybrids so he has already helped a little bit.  :)

    ReplyDelete
  41.  - I can't agree with your view that Caroline is being weak.  To me, she's just having a difficult time seeing friend go through something awful.  Caring doesn't make you weak.
     - We're in agreement about Bonnie's mom.  When they cast Persia White, I expected the character to be a lot cooler than she turned out to be.  Maybe that will change if she gets her magic back.
     - As I mentioned in my other post, I still agree with Damon that Alaric's new pal may still be psycho.
     - We're also in agreement about the predictability of plans unraveling.  It's always due to one of three things - feelings, conflicting agendas, or threat / compulsion.
