It was really great, but it sort of seemed like there was this huge build-up and then just suddenly the brother shows up and the drama was halted so abruptly. I wanted a bigger finish I guess
Fun ep and loved it. I think they tipped their hand with the brother and figured that he would show up in time to stop Tyler's rampage, so the tension wasn't as big as it could've been for me and I felt that Ashton played Tyler's mania a bit too over the top, almost cartoonish but he did feel menacing all the same. I do hope that they aren't playing up the Jack/Emily thing as I'm just not feeling it. But I can see them doing it if at least to create more tension between Amanda/Emily and now they've opened the door that amanda is curious about what really might've happened with David Clarke and the Graysons other than what Emily told her, I think the next antagonist target has been identified.
Most fun things...That first divorce negotiation scene...and...Nolan tied to that chair...trying to get himself free to warn Emily.
Most not good thing....Fake Amanda thinking about finding the truth about what happened to "her father". There is no way I can see *that* being a good thing.
did the whole middle part fill like filler to anyone else or was just me? I liked the episode. I loved the beginning and the end but the middle was very "meh" for me.
I liked it! Tyler really came through as a villain this episode, being completely off the rails like that. I wonder how much longer real Emily is going to stick around, it seems like at least Victoria should see through her story..
Best episode in months (or a number of episodes ignoring the fact it's been off air for a while) and one of the best in the series..
Tyler needed to be dealt with and has, although this factors into the pilot's murder in a way I had not planned since I always thought Tyler was Daniel's killer. I guess he could escape custody....
The other bit of note for me is one line from the middle of the episode when Nolan says that he thought the party was for friends and family only and Emily replies " Then you qualify".
I know she meant it as "well, you are my friend- Let's make up!", but I wonder if there was more to it and Nolan and Emily and bro and sis too. It would fall into why Mr Clarke was Nolan Ross's only backer and wanted Nolan to look out for Emily.
Of course wanting a trusted employee/partner to look after your daughter is reason enough, but I do wonder..... With the soap-y nature of this series, a surprise sibling plot device do not seem out of the question.
I'm not sure how I would feel either honestly.... It would be so contrived,
I think I heard the theory or thought of it when the series began too. I've wondered from one of the first episodes why when no one would back Nolan, Mr. Clarke did... and then why have him look after his daughter....
I do think Nolan may be her brother... and my boyfriend thinks that the Grayson's daughter may actually be Mr. Clarke's biological kid due to Victoria's affair with him
It would be pretty awesome if we're both right. That would throw in an interesting twist
I wondered about Charlotte Grayson being Amanda/ Emily Thorn's half-sister in the early part of the season, but forgot about that theory since they never really interact in the same scenes...
Yeah that is a definite possibility and could be interesting.....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
One of the best episodes so far, I think.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Can't wait for next week!

Great ep. loved it!
after that strong opening I was a bit disappointed with the rest of the episode.

ReplyDeleteA great episode. Emily got rid of Tyler and she made up with Nolan in the same episode. That is a win-win.

This is delicious,i'm so happy i tuned in!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree, it did seem like a super abrupt way to end the drama.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that theory about Nolan before. Not sure how I feel about it though. But I wouldn't be shocked if they pulled it.
