Oh I loved that they finally gave Becky a bit of a storyline, wow Sue was nice again and Santana and Brittany had some sort of a connection finally. Breakthroughs is all i can say.
For me, easily the best and most complete and balanced feeling ep in a long while with a bunch of plots running at the same time between the kids and the adults and they all worked well (despite feeling a bit preachy at times). The show does have a habit of making the characters feel like cartoons sometimes with really over the top moments, but they did a great job keeping everyone "normal". All the performances were great as well and liked that they gave some great balance having all the lead girls sing parts on a couple of the songs. I liked this Sue (for a change) and although it seems unlikely that she would be accepted so easily and completely by everyone for everything that she's done in the past, I hope that they can keep this Sue going even if she does some conniving things in the future. Just don't turn her into a cartoon again. Kudos to the writers/directors on this ep.
This was an amazing episode. I nearly shed a tear. I don't believe Rachel and Fin will get engaged right now. But they're not splitting up either. It was all very cute. very nice
This was a great episode, really well done. The only thing I didn't like was the scene between Finn and Carole, it just felt too rushed, the pace was all wrong and that sucks, cause Rosement is a great actress.
I love Finn's naivete, but... seriously, I don't seeing that happening.
LOVED "Summer Nights" as the opening, and I totally wasn't expecting the the Helen Mirren voice-over to be Becky's - but it was fantastic! "Is that a mohawk, Puckerman, or did someone glue a squirrel to your head?"
The synchronized swimming coach was absolutely hilarious, and the Finn/Will bonding was adorable.. and the girls singing with cuts to the first time they laid eyes on their men (and women) was so incredibly sweet.. as was Will's proposal :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I loved absolutely everything about this episode.

ReplyDeleteFinally, a normal Glee episode. No stupid themes, no forced songs, no out-of-character behaviour.. It was fantastic.
ReplyDeleteReally nice....and I'm sure the writers won't let Finn and Rachel marry, but that proposal was adorable.
