  3. Well it started off like someone tried to fit every cliche into one opening gambit. If that was their goal... mission accomplished!

Anytime an episode starts with an opening scene and then jumps back in time to show the events that lead up to it I lose interest immediately. Very, very rarely does that plot device pay off in any meaningful way. I don't read the end of the book before reading the beginning and I do not want to see the end of an episode before I see the beginning. Period.

It improved some in the second episode, but still felt like I had seen it all before. Fairly well done, but middle of the road for me. I like the conspiracy elements that make it more of a thriller than a law show, but it just did not draw me in I guess.

  4. I always disliked the movie but thought I would give this a try and now that I watched this I remember why I hated the movie so much, lol....

  5. I can agree, though I hope this is more of a middle of the story than its very ending we are seeing at the beginning (huh?) of the episode. The plot device rarely works, but for me where it worked in the most brilliant way imaginable was Max Payne (game, of course, not the movie)

  6. I liked Josh Lucas as Mitch McDeere- he captured the Grisham character far better than Tom Cruise ever did. I like that the series is launching from where the book ended. Be sure to head to the NBC site to get the ten year backstory filled in! http://www.nbc.com/the-firm/exclusives/timeline/

  7. I liked it.  It felt a little slow at first, but I was getting into it by the end.  I assume, though, that its regular slot is Sunday at 9, which puts it opposite two of my favorite shows, The Good Wife and The Walking Dead.  So I'm guessing I won't be a fan for long.

  8.  They only needed an hour the most to tell there story. They had a few good scenes but all in all i found it to be a  disappointment...again. NBC is batting a thousand! :)

  9. Sigh.  I'm just watching to catch up.  We're like 3 mins in and I just hit one of my hard core hot buttons.

When you've been living in witness protection because people have wanted you dead...and your husband calls and says "We have a code red situation."  YOU DO NOT START ASKING STUPID QUESTIONS lide "What? Why?"  You MOVE.  Really.  Seriously.  Made me want to claw my eyes out and seriously consider hitting the stop button.  Only reason it's still going is that I'm at work as I watch.

I am not sure I will make it through the first half hour.
