I want under 5 million, because it will give a Fringe bigger chance to get 5th season, but it's unrealistic to think like that, so I'm gonna say between 8-9 million.
I don't mean to be rude, but I don't there's anything that can save Fringe, even if Alcatraz would not perform well, they'd still cancel Fringe and order more dramas for next fall. Fringe is a good show, but what network is willing to lose money?
I voted 10-12 because it's Abrams, Fox has really be promoting it, and it's something to watch in the earlier time slots on Mondays that isn't a comedy. BUT, I predict after the premiere it'll drop down to between 9 and 10, maybe even lower. Viewers are ready to see some new programs, but it they don't grab us from ep. 1, we'll go back to our tried and trues.
Hour 1 is going to have to be really enticing to keep me watching Hour 2. It's an investment in time for characters I don't really know that well. On the other hand, devotees of HIMYM and Gossip Girl might skip the first hour and jump in the second hour.
I am playing it safe,i said 10 to 12.5 million, that might be high but i think people are scrambling to find a NEW mid season drama to watch that is actually good....we'll see i guess.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Between 9 and 10
ReplyDeleteI said between 8 and 9 million.

ReplyDeleteI'm saying between 9 and 10
ReplyDeletebetween 9 and 10 millions ;)
ReplyDeleteI was optimistic and figured if Terra Nova could get 9.22 million viewers for pilot then perhaps Alcatraz can score 10-12.5m
ReplyDeleteI like it to get huge numbers, but really I am thinking it's likely to be a sad number under 5 million.
ReplyDeleteI think it will score in the low 3.'s-high 2.'s A18-49 in the premier then erode fast over the next few weeks.
ReplyDelete10 - 12.5 Million
ReplyDeleteI guessed 10-12!
ReplyDeleteI'm figuring 10-12.5, for the premiere anyway.
ReplyDeleteIt's Abrams, and the network is pushing it hard, so I'm going with 10-12.5. If it doesn't do at least that, it'll be considered a letdown.
ReplyDeleteHey, could I somehow watch Alcatraz online via Internet? There will be a link to stream? :D
ReplyDelete8-9
ReplyDeleteSadly 8-9million I think, Monday is a busy night
ReplyDeleteI'd say from 10 - 12.5
ReplyDeletevoted 9 and 10...
ReplyDeleteReally hope the show is awesome!! still trying to fill a LOST shaped void in my heart!

ReplyDelete10-12.5 million.
ReplyDeleteYou're probably exactly on the money.
ReplyDeleteI said 10 to 12. A lot of people are very curious. But I think it will drop dramatically down the line.

ReplyDeleteI'm gonna guess around 10, and then it'll be interesting to see how many come back in the following weeks
ReplyDeleteI think 12,5 millions
ReplyDeleteI think 9 - 10 million is most likely.
ReplyDeleteI'll be interested to see how the Hour 2 numbers are... how far they drop off of Hour 1.....
10 will be, I think. Maybe even more...
ReplyDelete13 million i bet. at least at its highest, lowester im guessing 11.5 so i would say 12.5.
ReplyDeleteHour 1 is going to have to be really enticing to keep me watching Hour 2. It's an investment in time for characters I don't really know that well. On the other hand, devotees of HIMYM and Gossip Girl might skip the first hour and jump in the second hour.
ReplyDeleteI think between 5 and 6 million.
Voted 10-12.5 million.

ReplyDeleteI'm optimistic and say around 13 million. This is the first new show in a while I am excited about :)
ReplyDeleteWith the early numbers pegging it at 10 million, that would have about 47% of the people here being right. Good job everyone!
ReplyDeleteThough the final numbers might change that, and the 7 day numbers will certainly push it closer to the 12.5 mark.
So, which number should be used to gauge our accuracy?
