Party Down - The movie is being written and production might start this year

Are we having fun yet ? Soon we will, since the movie adaptation of this fantastic comedy is a go ! There have been rumors for a while now, but Megan Mullally confirmed to both THR and The Huffington Post that they're doing it. John Enbom is writing it, the whole cast is expected to return and production might start in April or May. They will try to get Jane Lynch to appear as well (she left the show after season 1 and went on to do Glee, Megan Mullally replaced her).

Party Down ran for two 10-episode seasons, from March 25, 2009 to June 25, 2010. In July 2010, Starz decided to cancel both Party Down and freshman dramedy Gravity in the light of a new era for them with the huge success of Spartacus. Starz has not done comedy ever since (unless you consider Joseph Fiennes' acting in Camelot comedy).

Other upcoming movie adaptations of TV shows include 24 and Arrested Development, both of them expected to be released in the first semester of 2013.
