  2. Aww Lost I will forever love you

  3. LOST BABY.

A lot of more recent shows here. Though I suppose that isn't surprising.

  4. Dunno how they came up with that but happy to see LOST on the top.

  5. The only one that surprises me is Gossip Girl and that is only mild shock since it has such a rabid following on this site and his been around for a long time now.

  6. In its first season Heroes was the most watched show in THE WORLD.
So it should not be too big of a surprise really.Although if this was about overall quality I would be SHOCKED to see it in the top 10 in the last 10 years! XD

  7. Every time I see Patrick Fischler on any show I always say aloud "PHIL!" XD

  8. I'm sorry, but Gossip Girl? really?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Lost and Grey's are on there, so I'm happy!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yeah, it boggles the mind how quickly they destroyed that show.

    Gossip girl, glee, heroes????????????? really??????????????
this only show 2 things. imdb is crazy or we really only have crap shows on the past 10 yrs

  12. 3 and 4 surprised me...
    and the absence of bsg

  13. It goes to show  that a good concept is nice, but not enough. A series needs a good showrunner too. One that knows how to pace a series!

  14. Lost is in first,so i am really happy.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Half of this list is invalid.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Gossip Girl? Seriously? I wouldn't have listed that in the top 10

    ReplyDelete
  17. This isn't a list of the best/favorite/popular shows, just a measure of page hits which can have any number of causes.  For example, Glee might have tons of page hits due to people looking up guest stars and such.

  18. For a second I thought I read best shows, but that would have been a huge joke with shows like Glee or Gossip Girl. People like crap, so I'm not surprised by this list.

    ReplyDelete
  19. The Sopranos?  The Wire?  Breaking Bad?  The Shield?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm not too surprised by any of these, and I expected to see Lost at the top.. the only one that kind of surprises me is Gossip Girl.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hey there's no accountability for taste.

I'll bet my sweet ass if they did that with movies Twilight would be on that list.

    ReplyDelete
  22. That was the only thing that honestly surprised me.. I cocked my head to the side and said "Huh?"

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hey! Glee is a great show, well, was... in season one... the first half... maybe

yeah, now it's pretty much crap.

And honestly, I have never seen an entire ep of GG, I fell asleep when I checked a s1 episode. Not really sure what is about.

  24. Where are Friends and The Big Bang Theory I wonder...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well, I do consider the IMDB boards the place were faith in humanity is taken to the back alley, shot point blank, and stripped of its sneakers.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Friends went off the air 8 years ago.  This list is largely driven by people interested in where the actors came from or where they have moved on to since then.  Longer running shows with big casts tend to have an advantage.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The average NCIS viewer isn't even aware IMDb exists.

    ReplyDelete
  28.    I beg your pardon..I think i have to disagree with you on that one..

    ReplyDelete
  29.    Love your comment!  :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hm.. But can this list really be used as a popularity ranking?  I've visited imdb  lots of times for shows and movies I didn't watch.   But it's an interesting list

    ReplyDelete
  31.   How did Glee make this list but not The Wire?? Its beyond me and quite disheartening..

    ReplyDelete
  32. I have to disagree. I know IMDB exists, I just don't care. :-p

    ReplyDelete
  33. Just happy about Lost (no surprise at all), but I can't believe Glee and Gossip Girl were more viewed on their site for the last 10 years than some other great shows, with so many fans, like Friends, The Sopranos, The Shield...
Also I'll be always a little sad that a show like Flashforward isn't on any list at all...

    ReplyDelete
  34. My best guess is that since its based on how many page views there are per show it may be less about popularity and perhaps more about seeing who the guest stars are, or clarifying something like that. To me it doesn't make sense either for pure fan base.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Wow - neither Smallville nor any of the Stargate Series made it, nor FRINGE! I'd think they'd get hits if only for longevity. I wonder what TV.com's list would be in comparison...

    ReplyDelete
  36. ok, correct me if I'm wrong, but no Fringe (admittedly, I don't watch this show, but all the hype from the critics and fans and...). And how the hell does Glee make it? and heroes?

    ReplyDelete
  37. The typical NCIS viewer doesn't visit sites like imdb, as proven by the fact that it isn't on that list.  Same apparently goes for all the very popular CSI type shows.  Obviously that doesn't apply to all the viewers.  That isn't meant as any sort of insult.  It is like Jini says below, they just don't care.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Actually, I did use IMDB when I was watching The Wire. There were so many characters I had to keep checking to see who was who.

    ReplyDelete
  39.  I really was just giving you a hard time, but i meant it in a nice way,i forgot to add the smiley face at the end..... :D
      Sorry!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Lost, Hero and Glee, God Lord, i can't believe.

    ReplyDelete
  41. It makes complete sense for fan base. Gossip Girl has one of the LARGEST fan bases (yes, they're not as outspoken as the Supernatural fan base or as rabid as the Lost fan base was), and its proven when you look at the DVR numbers and the fact that the episodes are always on top of the iTunes chart the day after. Gossip Girl used to be a GREAT show. One of the only teen dramas with wit and class...now many of us (like myself) watch just for Chuck and Blair.

As for the list...excited to see LOST, HIMYM, and Dexter!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Guys, this is the top 10 MOST VIEWED on IMDB

    It's not somebody's opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Boy do people have garbage taste.

It's a shame that quality shows like Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, The Wire and Firefly don't get more views.

    ReplyDelete
  44. yay for grey's, true blood and Gossip girl!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Lost and Dexter OK... and maybe also True Blood... but what about the others? Are they serious?
