Co-creator Craig Thomas says Newton's character, Quinn, who we'll meet in February, will get under Barney's (Neil Patrick Harris) skin pretty much from the moment they meet.
"Ted [Josh Radnor] drags Barney on a double date, and Ted's date goes nowhere, but Barney can't stop thinking about this girl who completely hates him," Thomas says.

From this description alone, I already hate Quinn. She and Kevin better not be around at the same time because it would be horrible. Was bad enough with Kevin and Nora.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that. The last time Barney had to work that hard for a woman it was Nora and she stuck around for quite a while.
ReplyDeleteActually, Quinn sounds like a mix up of Robin and Nora. And I don't think it's fair that Barney has to get hurt yet again after the entire Robin fiasco this season.
ReplyDeleteGrrrrr!!! Why must there be so many obstacles to a happy Barney/Robin ending? :(
ReplyDeleteHow can Barney fall for Quinn when just a few episodes he realized Robin was the love of his life "No one and nothing else can compare".
Maybe he thinks he has to move on because Robin did? Only thing I can think of.
ReplyDeleteNot wavering from being 100% convinced they're endgame and she's the Bride, though!
Same, Barney & Robin HAVE to end up together. I'm sure of it!
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeleteOh my... I want Robin and Barney to be together :(
ReplyDeleteNo. No. Oh dear God please don't let this be Barney's wife...I'm pulling so hard for Robin. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteI already love Quinn, can't wait to see her on screen, still want Nora back though. Hope Kevin is still in the picture.
ReplyDeleteHope I'm gonna like her more than Kevin, cause it sounds interesting. Thanks;)
ReplyDeleteHey, when it comes to the writing, I'm on your side. HIMYM has been dropping the ball the last few seasons, and that includes the whole Barney / Robin / Nora / Kevin fiasco.
ReplyDeletethis ^
ReplyDeleteI do love how they can take a pretty lighthearted show and throw in all this heart wrenching drama!! We just have to have faith that Bob Saget will lead us in the right direction!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Quinn, just because I love Becki Newton - I think she potential to be more interesting than Kal Penn, that's for sure.
