Who is Barney marrying?

While viewers certainly want to know who the infamous mother is of Ted’s future kids, one of the biggest questions that has surrounded the show recently has been the identity of Barney’s future bride. Luckily, we’ll be getting the answer to at least one of those questions by the the end of the season.

“We’ll answer who Barney is marrying,” Thomas confirmed. “We will answer that at the end of this season.”

But if you think you know the lucky lady’s identity based on where we are in the show right now, it might not be that simple.

“It’s still a flash-forward.” Thomas noted. “We’re not saying when it is, but we’re not catching up to it this season.”

Not to mention, whether Barney and this mysterious bride go through with the wedding is an entirely different matter.

“That all remains to be seen,” Bays teased.

  1. So excited for February sweeps and for Barney/Robin to get back together and get married.

  2. I can't believe this show is into season seven and the writers still aren't done throwing Ted at Robin.  Enough already.

  3. I think that just mean that Ted has to get over his residual Robin feelings (They still have that 40 year old back up plan) and he has to let them go so Barney/Robin can be together.

  4. I think it's unnecessary.  It has been made crystal clear on more than one occasion that Ted and Robin don't work.  They're beating a dead horse and making Ted look dumb in the process.

  5. I think they're just trying to explain why Victoria was right, tbh, and that's what this will show - Barney, Robin, and Ted can't continue like they have been.

  6. These kinds of plots sour me on this show because it just seems like a way to drag things out and stall for time.

  7. I'm still rooting for Ted and robin, even though I know they don't end up together. Tonight's episode wasn't all that great-- I had higher expectations. Hopefully Kevin is out of the picture soon, he doesn't fit into the mix in my opinion. But whatever, we'll see... It's just annoying how much they changed the show

  8. This makes me think that Barney will have a wedding with some new character, but won't go through with it. I hope not because that'd be stupid, but I also don't want it to be Barney/Robin wedding

  9. I really liking HIMYM but sometimes I get the feeling that the producers are flogging a dead horse! Teasing a wedding for two season is bit much to be honest. But I still very much enough watch HIMYM so I still watch

  10. I can't wait until the end of this season - all this mystery about Barney's bride is annoying me now. If it's Robin then great but why all the crap before and if it's not Robin then I'll be so sad!
