Thanks to spartigus15 for the heads up.
Fox is delaying a decision on the fate of House.
The network’s entertainment president told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s press tour that he and series creator David Shore “agreed mutually to put it off until after the first of the year. We haven’t had that meeting yet.” Reilly acknowledged that he’s been “avoiding” a firm decision because “it’s hard to imagine the network without House… It [is] going to be a close call. Should this be the last season it’s not going to be an unceremonious finish.”

Just end it already!
ReplyDeleteas much as i love House i wouldnt be mad if it went away. I have to admit im not invested in this season as i have been in the past. Idk even know whats really going on and ive watched every episode so far.
ReplyDeleteLet it die a nice death with a conclusion for the fans still watching.
ReplyDeleteIf it does get cancelled, I really hope they give enough notice for production of a proper series finale, because it at least deserves an actual ending.
ReplyDeleteI stopped watching House years ago - it was so good in earlier seasons though.
ReplyDeleteLet me LOL at the random House/Cameron shippers in TVLine's comment section still hoping that they'll be endgame.
ReplyDeleteIt'd be nice for them to bring Cameron back if they did go on for another season.
ReplyDeleteLaurie stated on Conan a while back that this was his FINAL year of his contract and no new negotiations have been offered...after-all, what would HOUSE be without the title character?? ~ Dan S.
ReplyDeleteThe only way to have a proper send-off is to bring back Jennifer Morrison, if only a cameo, and House to OD on Vicodin, or better still, have someone slip him something into his Vicodin bottle...hmmm? makes you think, no?
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised. FOX wants to see how well the second half of the TV season goes, how many other shows they're going to cancel, and how good the new crop of pilots are. Basically, FOX want's to figure out if they'll need another season of House on the schedule or not.
ReplyDeleteI'll say it will be May before we read about a decision on this.
Yes on Jennifer Morrison coming back, no to the rest.
ReplyDeleteWell, why not? It's not likely (due to Jen's amazing new show) but also not totally impossible. I'd LOL more at Huddy shippers thinking their ship still might have a chance after the "relationship" proved to be a total disaster ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'd watch if they brought Cameron back for the final episode(s)
ReplyDeleteBringing Cameron back would be great!! I just hope that it gets a proper finish.
ReplyDeleteI doubt that's going to happen. OUAT is amazing, and I definitely see a second season.
ReplyDeleteyeah, it'd be nice but i want 13 back!
ReplyDeleteAlong with Morrison I'd like to see Olivia Wilde return, and the Vicodin overdose would be a pretty interesting ending, I'd hate to see him die at the end but it would possibly be perfect.
ReplyDeleteI just don't think House/Cameron has a possibility of even happening, even if Jen did return. But that's a slim chance because of OUAT being awesome and most likely getting a second season.
ReplyDeleteNow that would be a bizarre ending
ReplyDeleteI would probably keep on watching it and if the quality goes any more lower, hating it, but still watching it, until they end the show... :P
ReplyDeleteI love House but at this point wouln't be too upset if it didn't get picked back up ... 8 is as it turns out enough.
ReplyDeletePut the dead horse out of its misery already! It's dead! Stop kicking it!
ReplyDeleteDamn. When I saw 'House - Season 9 Renewal' I nearly wet my pants with excitement/joy/relief. Then I read 'Decision Delayed'. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteBut she could return for at least 1 episode while still doing OUAT.
ReplyDeleteI thought they said at the end of last season this was the last?
ReplyDeleteWould be better if they end in this season while house is on top, instead of being canceled years later because of the ratings
ReplyDeleteJen Morrison, Olivia Wild, Lisa Edelstein... all of them should be in this season. They should have their chances to say a proper "Good Bye"
ReplyDeleteI am kinda hoping they will let house die....thou I stopped watch awhile back
ReplyDeleteI am actually enjoying this season which really has surprised me.....
ReplyDeleteYeah it needs to end. The last 2 season have been very bleh.
ReplyDeleteSorry, people. Not ready yet to let House go.
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready for House
ReplyDeleteto end, but since it's pushing towards that, they need to extend Huge Laurie's
contract for another 2 years and have House end in Season 10. This will allow
enough time to really move the show into the proper direction for a huge ending.
I know the writers have 'something' already to conclude the show, but I think it
would be respectful to the show and fans to set the timeline out. I think
there's enough room to come up with great stories and medical mysteries.
Still waiting to see a
repeat patient House 'fixed' to show back up and finding out House didn't cure
them first time around.
House is great! it should stay on air for two more seasons. the show deserves it.
ReplyDeleteHouse series is amazing, unique and epic and I don`t see how someone would want it off TV. There are so many serious topics that are part of the script, it`s not just sarcasm. Gregory, I want you baaaaaack!!!
ReplyDeleteOUAT is just in the beggining and laready getting boring. It was a one season thing. If it wasn`t for Robert Carlyle, I wouldn`t even look at it.
