We asked Dinklage what was in store for his "Game of Thrones" character in Season Two.
"He falls in love, which is lovely and a bit more complicated from the philanderer that wandered around season one creating chaos. He's grown up a bit, so it's nice."
He then added (as a tease to George R.R. Martin fans) "Season two sticks pretty closely to book two but rumor has it book three is so big, we might break it up a bit. But that's just hearsay."

Book three was split in paperback format, so yes it's pretty epic. Too much to fit into one season and do it right (unless they went beyond their 10 episode seasons of course)
ReplyDeleteAre you in the UK?
ReplyDeleteIn the US Book 3 was one single book , but I think the UK and a few other European countries had split versions...
They like to do that with long books here in Europe and milk the customer as much as possible. I paid more for half a book in German than the whole thing would cost in English (I realize it costs something to translate it) on some occasions. That's why I started reading more books in English and also will with ASOIAF (if I ever come around to read it) even though I think German is a better language when it comes to fantasy.
ReplyDeleteI has noticed some split volume books in other series in the past.. Always European, so I guess that does not surprise me to hear...
ReplyDeleteI was grateful they split it in the UK, it would have been too big for me to carry around in my bag!
ReplyDeleteBased on the book, S2 has some if not my favourite Tyrion storylines, so looking forward to it
ReplyDeleteThanks!

Maybe ;)
ReplyDeleteIf true, then that's a pretty nice gig for an ex-"adult entertainer."
ReplyDeleteIndeed, but it was foreign porn so a much higher quality... I mean more artistic? XD
ReplyDeleteNo, in fairness to Sibel Kekilli, I've read she did some German films that got a good deal of critical acclaim.... I should say specifically she has been nominated for 15 awards and won 13 of them... None were adult related awards! XD
Kudos to her for overcoming the stigma. (at least overseas, anyway) I doubt she would have even been afforded the same opportunity in the US.
