  3. He shouldn't he is not the same Jones, he's alternate from another set of timeline!

But I am also curious if this Jones is not also a shapeshifter????

  4. Walter said "He's the perfect person to bring back for this season." i might be reading into things but it almost sounded like John was resigned to the fact that this is the last season. Listen again and tell me i'm reading too much into it,please.

  6. I think they present it that way, because how else would you convey to the audience that "Jones" is back[on the show]?...but we already know that NONE of these characters are our season 1-3 characters, except for Peter (and maybe the Observers)...Peter specifically tells the audience that the machine has popped him out of his timeline and he is now in ANOTHER one and wants to go "home" (back to his)

'Back to when you never been' inplies that a person thinks the are going to somewhere familiar, but in fact it is not the EXACT same as anywhere you have actually been. Peter keeps thinking that he knows who everyone is "here", but clearly a time line with the lack of  any Peters ability to survive to adulthood has caused a SHIFT in character's roles. --Walter is super scarred, Walternate has seemingly moved past revenge and cares more about survival, Blue Olivia is more like how Peter was, Blue Lee is like how our blue Oliva was...Nina so far could be the next candidate for the previous role of Walternate...

But also taking into account that timelines are made from other timelines, and their are repeating fates, but also variation to manifest, Thinking about NEWTON makes me think they could combine the old shapeshifter unresolved story, with ZFT unresolved story...

I am not going to say that it's not possible for there to be a time traveling Jones, as I keep leaning towards a bigger plot with a temporal time war with time traveling terrorists, but this plot with the shapeshifters, and Mr. X (X could represent both variation and a variable which mirrors timeline variation and one's ability to become someone else at any given time) makes me think that Jones himself could really not be "a Jones" at all. (We are also suppose to meet a worse villain than our previous Walternate at some point)

  7. what's up with this hand? it is in almost every promo.
I can't wait to the confrontation of Peter and Jones that we saw in this promo. it's gonna be amazing and maybe then Olivia and Walter will finally trust Peter.

  9. I'm wondering if Jones will lead us to this much ballyhooed mysterious badder-guy in episode 15...

Could Jones be working for badder-guy or be inspired by him if this new guy is some kind of cult-like figure as well as super villain...

  10. Thanks for reading!

I totally forgot until now that the name David Robert Jones is a reference to David Bowie, as is the name NEWTON (I might not have been wrong to think about this Jones as a shapeshifter) and Farnsworth, and the male version of Olivia (Olivier) relate to David Bowie's film (based on the novel) "The Man Who Fell To Earth"...Even When Peter leaves after learning the truth of his abduction, Peter asks the GPS devise the directions to "Mars" (red planet) -A popular David Bowie song is "Life on Mars"...

When I was thinking about this before I also thought of "The Martian Chronicles" by Ray Bradbury (I own a laser disk-audio book read by Leonard Nimoy!)--The Shapeshifter/Observer storylines might fit in here, since TMC follows 'futur-structure' stlye narritive comparing two catastrophies, both relating to Martian and Human extinction, --but the end of the novel is also the beginning (time loops, repeated event history)

  12. Here's a pic of Thomas Jerome Newton's 'outer-space' family from "The Man Who Fell To Earth" (rather Observer-ish!)

  13. The cast seems just as excited to get Jared Harris back on the show as we are.  Also, it was nice that they included Seth in one of these interviews.
