    The problem is i don't care about Amber Olivia's fate. I care about Original Olivia and all of this would be much more satisfying to watch it was happening to the real characters. Why don't they resolved the amber storyline before telling these stories? This is getting very frustrating.

    Ah, but see you are working under the idea that this is a new universe(s). I am working under the theory that this is an altered timeline. That is OUR Olivia. The blue/red universes have merely been manipulated as a result of plucking Peter out of time. But they are indeed still the characters we've been following for years. Just what I think. :)

    I agree, if they want us to see these charactars as our charactars then they need to tell us that, we like peter feel removed from them b/c we know that they are different then the ones we've known for three seasons. Making it harder to actually go with this amber version of them.

    Umm... fyi... September said that in every timeline and universe everything comes down to Olivia dying. So... you should be worried. And yes, this IS our Olivia. Just a bit different version of her.

    That's exactly what I think. The Observers said 'the timeline has been re-written', so in theory there is no home for Peter to go back to... this is his home, but it can be fixed or re-written again.i think. i hope, anyway

    I think this is an altered timeline too and that this really is OUR Olivia. I think that's why they are having Peter and Olivia get closer (like with the scene at the end of this week's episode) and why the producers keep saying that Lincoln isn't going anywhere. I mean it stands to reason that considering Lincoln was only seen once in the Blue universe but he's not going anywhere from this point on, then the Amberverse is OUR universe just altered. The producers have even outright said this is a new timeline not new universe. And I think they haven't told us because if it turns out that they eventually remember Peter that moment will be even better after waiting for him to "get home" for so many episodes.

    The producers have said in countless interviews this entire season whenever they are interviewed that this is 'our' timeline it's just ALTERED because Peter never/should have never existed. I'm confused as to why no one is remembering that unless they don't read the producer interviews. Since before the season started they have been telling the viewers  this.

    Indeed there has been much talk of universes and timelines. They are different things.

    Also, what stood out for me in this last ep is that Alt-Astrid asked Peter of he was from a different "timeline." Not a different universe. I found that interesting.

    Yes and I agree to a point. We are along for the ride with Peter. However, the emotional punch for him (and theoretically for us) is going to be that much greater when we get confirmation that there is no 'original' timeline out there and that this IS his timeline.

    Dealing with such a new story while we're worried about the show being canceled is certainly frustrating, but I have faith in this writing team that these characters' stories will pay off. I also just really love seeing how these characters interact together in comparison to our originals (We've examined in depth four different Peter/Walter relationships now. How awesome is that?); just like when they introduced the Redverse characters, they have been utilized so well to recontextualize what we already know about our characters, and I've really grown attached to these as well. I'm invested in these characters too because they are our characters but having gone through very different experiences and I just really love seeing that play out onscreen. No other show has the balls to do something so out there and pull it off so incredibly well.

    Okay, this has become a fangirly rant now so I'll calm down, but hopefully that quote from Joel can alleviate a little bit of frustration.

    I would like to read some of these interviews because everything I'm reading from the producers is not saying that at all:

    starinacasket referenced this quote and I think that this is the only quote that you need to read to understand that Peter's universe is out there somewhere.
