I want to like this show. I really do. It's just not holding y attention. I keep channel surfing and figure I'll come back and watch the DVR recording. It feels like there's too much of a shorthand to the story telling. I keep feeling like I've missed important scenes. It's like I'm watching a mystery where the writer holds back ALL the answers when they should be parceling out some stuff. Consequently there's nothing of the story to hook me in. Usually, when this happens I have characters to grab me. There isn't a single character that has really grabbed me. I know I"m supposed to like the best friend. He just annoys me. The lead kid...has story going on with him that's mildly interesting but he's still in his really passive phase.
