Danni Lowinski - Demo Reel (The German based drama pilot, which never made its way to The CW)

A while back in 2011 The CW orderd a pilot for a new drama called "Danni Lowinski", based on the same titled german tv show.

The CW produced a pilot, and we never got a first look or something the way like that. No Videos, no Trailer. Just some facts like these:

Danni Lowinski (Drama)
After being brushed off by big law firms, recent grad Danni decides to open her own practice in a shopping mall kiosk. The project comes from 90210's Jennie Snyder Urman. Amanda Walsh, Carla Gallo, Neal Bledsoe, George Dzundza and Utkarsh Ambudkar will star.

In case u stayed tuned, u know that the cw dismissed the show already. But actual rumors around NATPE 2012 in Miami Beach say, that cbs is overthinking the idea. Maybe they give danni lowinski another try. maybe not. however. rumors.

Now, a few days back in the days, a demoreel (think it was posted by guest star Elizabeth Ho) hit the web. And here we go. Give it a try:

In Germany, Danni Lowinski is still successfull and Season 3 is set to premiere in the next weeks.

For better understanding, here's the german synopsis:

Daniela „Danni“ Lowinski (Annette Frier) is a trained hairdresser who received her qualification for college (in Germany called Abitur) doing evening classes and then managed to major in law successfully. After graduating, she wants to work as lawyer but no lawyer's office is willing to employ her. In sheer desperation she has the idea to lease space in a mall where a simple table and two chairs form a small helpdesk. The helpdesk offers people the opportunity to have Danni deal with their legal matters for just one Euro per minute. Of course this leads to Danni attracting rather unusual clients, who solves their cases in an equally unusual manner. She is assisted by her best friend Bea Flohe (Nadja Berger) and the people in the adjacent stores, Persian locksmith Rasoul (Elyas M’Barek) and Nils (Oliver Fleischer), a massage therapist, as well as Dr. Oliver Schmidt (Jan Sosniok), a fellow attorney who works in a lawyer's office located in the mall. In her private life, Danni has to deal with her father Kurt (Axel Siefer), who she lives with. (via)

  6. Why is that I hear it is the #1 show...You don't like comedy? The american version is meant to be a little lighter with the drama.

  7. Nearly four million viewers tuned in to watch the awards, Germany's equivalent of the Emmys, on pubweb ARD.  Best Series: "Danni Lowinski" (SAT.1)  If it is great there then a American version could stand a chance.

  8. #1 show? ^^ No, there are better candidates for that, like the German version of "The Office" ("Stromberg"). Germany's really fun comedy times are long gone; most of it nowadays are cheap and underproduced shows with some well-known name starring in it and with lots of product placement. Profit comedy so to say. And I like comedy, but not stuff like this =)

  9. They killed a big joke in this scene :( In original the mother had put out the clock like four times. And beeing honest, Amanda Walsh is too young for this role. And she's dressed the wrong way too. And it must be said, the first episode of danni lowinski wasn't a very good one. It became good about two episodes later.

  10. oh and why is she placed so good in the mall >.<? About ten percent of the jokes are about the bad placing of her kiosk :o!
