Cult - Pilot Order by CW for new Crime Drama

The creator of cult-favorite Farscape has secured a pilot order for a new crime drama on The CW.

Rockne O’Bannon’s project is called Cult and it also has Gossip Girl executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage on board, along with Len Goldstein. O’Bannon will write and executive produce the pilot.

The story: “After a rash of disappearances and a likely murder, an inquisitive, young female production assistant on a wildly popular television show called Cult joins a journalist blogger in investigating the rabid fans of the series who might be re-creating crimes seen on the program, in real life.”

    So since Josh and Stephanie are involved, I assume it is being adapted from a book or something... they really have no originality between the two but I did like Farscape but The CW has a way of ruining things

    Might be a really good mini-series run, but I'm not sure I want that kind of story to go on indefinitely.  But..could be fun.

    Hmmm, can't say I am too excited about this from the description.  Still at this stage it's only a pilot so will only really take an interest if it's picked up for a series.
