Thanks for the details, I am interested in seeing this pilot to see if it';s a show worth watching or not as I can't quite decide from the descriptison how good, or not, it is likely to be.
ReplyDeleteA lot going on although I'm sure it will be easier to watch it compared to reading bullet points.
ReplyDeleteIf the pilot makes it I will check it out. I'm not a Victor Webster fan, but the fact it is Sci-Fi is enough to draw me in for the pilot.
this isn't a "pilot" pilot showcase ordered 10 episodes before the pilot filmed so it will make it to the air
ReplyDeleteOoh, awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
ReplyDeleteI knew either this one or the Rockne O'Bannon one "Cult" was a pilot.... Could not recall which and did not feel like looking.XD
It's procedural?
ReplyDeleteit said so in a synopsis but i read part of the script and it seemed really serialized i guess maybe its like the opposite of alcatraz with the future instead of the past
ReplyDeleteThanks for answer!
ReplyDeleteI'm a great fan of sci-fi/time travel shows, so I'll keep my eye on this one.
ReplyDeleteOnly negative is that it's got a female lead. Maybe it's because I'm a female myself but I just don't bond with the "know it all action heroine kind of girl."
I also saw the word "teenager" in the synopsis, a word that I hope they will eventually ban from TV shows. :)
However, it's only fair to give it a chance.
Ha, really sounds like you and i have similar points of aggravation! I'm normally okay though as long as there is a male co-star who appears fairly regularly, and some female leads such as on Haven i can really get on with, so i'm hoping i get lucky this time too.
ReplyDeleteI suppose I am being a bit unfair towards female leads, but I think it was Jennifer Garner that spoiled all subsequent ones for me.
ReplyDeleteI really loved her in Alias.
She was just perfect in the role, and so believable; feminine but tough, intelligent and loving, heroic and yet humble.
As for teens, they get thrown into everything.
It seems as if a show can't be conceived without at least one being present!
God yes, the teens really bug me. I guess they're right to do it though, they pull in that demographic, and it's a big demographic. :(
ReplyDeleteIt's so wonderful when they get a female lead right, Garner was excellent yes! Some of them just come off terribly, i never can get over how much i dislike Weir on Stargate Atlantis, ugh. Apart from anything else her name sounds like 'wee-er'. :/
Come to think of it, maybe the percentage of female leads i like is actually the same as the percentage of male leads i like, but the quantity of shows with male leads is way higher, so naturally i just like way more shows with male leads. Hmm.
Looks very interesting. Please producers, less Terra Nova, more Battlestar Galactica.
ReplyDeleteSounds very Terminator-ey, mmm, hope they pull it better than Chronicles. Status: On the Fence.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I wasn't too interested in this when I first heard of it, but the details make it sound more worthy of a checkout
ReplyDeleteDespite the fact that these bullet points make the show seem like a video game, I'm also willing to give it a shot.
