Anger Management - Charlie Sheen says "I think it's going to be so rich"

9 Jan 2012

Charlie Sheen begins shooting "Anger Management," his new comedy series for FX, in March. Sunday night (Jan. 8) he made his first public comments about jumping back into television a year after he was fired from "Two and a Half Men."

"I just didn't want that to be my television legacy," Sheen told reporters at FOX's press tour party. "I wanted to do something that ended better, will end better. Nothing against those guys -- they know what they did, I know what I did, and we all moved on, so I'm happy about that."

Sheen is working with showrunner Bruce Helford ("The Drew Carey Show," "George Lopez") on the series, which will shoot 10 episodes to air later this year. If those episodes meet a certain ratings threshold, FX will pick up 90 more, and the show will also be sold into syndication.

  1. Ugh. I wish he'd just go away.

  2. Not going to happen. As long as there is SOMEONE who is willing to exploit is borderline-insanity, he'll be on TV one way or another. Some people like to rationalize that he's a good actor and when it comes to TV that's all that should matter, but personally I don't care how good an actor he is. So far, people keep enabling him by allowing him to believe there are no consequences for this actions. This new show of his is just one prime example of how idiotic the industry can be.

Even if it turns out to be good I doubt I'll watch a single episode. People like him are an insult to other good actors.

  3. Hope It does well. Two and a half men without him Is what should go away. And his off screen behavor with booze, drugs, and hookers are not what caused him to be fired. His fallout with Chuck Lore Is what did It.They violated their contract with Sheen and had to pay out 25 Million. They should have had to eather cancle It or hoor their contract with sheen.Considering how badly 2 and a half men has become without him I have to side with Sheen. And If all stars who do drugs, booze, and Hookers were fired half the stars In Hollywood would most likely be fired If not more.
