Thanks to Sylvia for the heads up.

ABC has given the green light to 666 Park Ave, a drama pilot from writer David Wilcox (Fringe), Warner Bros. TV and Alloy Entertainment. Based on Alloy’s book series by Gabriella Pierce, the show is set up at a historic apartment buildings in New York City and centers on a young couple who become its managers. They unwittingly begin to experience supernatural occurrences, which complicate and endanger the lives of everyone in the residence.

  1. hmm.  the paradigm feels familiar but with the 666 in the title it could be a lot of fun.

  2. Hmmm well David Wilcox has written some excellent Fringe episodes (6.02am EST, Do Shapeshifters Dream of Electric Sheep?)  but then he also wrote for the awful US version of Life on Mars.  I don't know I'm always happy to see supernatural/Sci-fi/Fantasy shows but have no idea if it will be any good.

  4. I like it! Finally another good pilot after that dull list that was released the other day...

  5. Personally I get an American Horror Story vibe from it. But it probably won't be so strange. Though, to be fair, I haven't actually watched AHS. But from what I've seen and heard...yeah, weird stuff.

  6. Sounds like they're hopping aboard the AHS train... but will be interested with the writing pedigree. Since this is a "genre" show I wonder where they might be looking to put it... Hopefully not on Fridays, but that 's what I'm expecting.

  7. That's basically what I thought.  I thought it read like Bedlam without the mental patient that looked like an underwear model.

  8. Another one? Mix a little Rosemary's baby,The shinning, and a few other programs and presto, you have a carbon copy of everything that has been done....already..

  9. the further explication that the tenants have all made deals with the devil has pushed my interest higher.

  10. I quite like the sound of this (more so than some of the other pilots that have been mentioned). It *could* be good...

  11. It does sound kinda interesting, but then again I never got into Fringe. At all. So if the writing is anything like that for Fringe, I don't see myself getting into that show.
