We already reported about the rumours that comic fan favourite Michonne might be introduced in the finale of the second season. This rumour has now been further strengthened by a rumoured casting choice. According to an unnamed source of The Walking Dead Fan Club True Blood alumn Rutina Wesley will join the cast of AMC's The Walking Dead as the katana-swinging lawyer.Source: SpoilerTV

I always hated Tara on True Blood, but not because of Wesley's performance. I guess she'd be a solid choice if true.
ReplyDeleteKatana-weilding lawyer sounds good! Bring it on! :)
ReplyDeleteI hated her too and the line between her character and her performance was a bit more blurry for me.... Not sure how I feel about this, but I will give her a chance if it's even true...
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat site has been dead on in the past,
ReplyDeleteThat site has always been DEAD on..get it..lol
ReplyDeleteI never really "liked" the character Tara ... didn't hate it but I just didn't ever enjoy her story lines much.
ReplyDeleteRutina Wesley on the other hand I could get behind - especially if she loses that Bon Temps accent that makes me want to stab a pencil in my ear. I think she'll be a good fit from everything I've heard about Michonne - that being said, I've never read the comics. I can't wait to meet her!
That's crazy, guess she's really dead off of True Blood, not that I care, I just hope she's not as annoying on this as she was on TB
ReplyDeletelol i remember watching the original unaired pilot of true blood and rutina wasnt even in it.. then the women playing tara was replaced in the aired pilot by Rutina.. never liked her.. glad she left the show... hmmm... walking dead i dunno.. but who knows maybe she can act great with a katana :D
ReplyDeleteTara was just so incredibly annoying that I think or hope her acting wasn't responsible for it.
ReplyDeleteGod, Michonne with this accent would be dreadful... Wouldn't fit the character very well.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they have a good record, that's why I decided to post it here.
ReplyDeleteIf Wesley is, in fact, cast as Michonne, we'll all finally find out if it was just the True Blood writing that made Tara so grating or if Wesley's acting played a part.
ReplyDeleteI would approve of this. She's a great actress even if Tara does irk the nerves.
ReplyDeletethough!

i loved her as tara i'm sure she will make me like Michonne on the walking dead:)
ReplyDeleteYou should get your information straight. We talked to Rutina's people today and they confirmed that she is NOT going to be in The Walking Dead. http://www.trueblood-online.com/cast-crew/rutina-wesley-tara/another-rumor-not-true-about-rutina-wesley/
ReplyDeleteawesome i hope this is true
ReplyDeleteThis is siekone from the walking dead fan club and I just found out that this is Not true we just dispelled it,
ReplyDeleteSOURCE: The vault
this is not true.” She said that she: “Likes the show, but not true.”
SO there you go this one was just a rumor and proved false!
Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteThat's why it was labeled as RUMOUR...
ReplyDeleteRight, becasue she doesn't have an accent in the comics... wait, what?
ReplyDeleteJust saying that I don't think Wesley's Tara accent wouldn't fit the character well. For me it has such a trashy vibe, but Michonne is an intelligent woman that in my mind wouldn't talk like that at all.
ReplyDeleteSince Wesley won't be playing Michonne it doesn't matter anyway.
Yaya Dacosta would make a brilliant Michonne. She's perfect for the part.
ReplyDeleteIntelligent people don't speak in their regional accent? I am pretty sure you are being an idiot. Lawyers from the south still have a southern accent. Doctors in Quebec still have french accents. Intelligence has nothing to do with how you speak, maybe just the vocabulary you choose to use.
