Thanks to spartigus15 for the heads up.

NBC’s Up All Night has dug deeper into Ava’s (Maya Rudolph) pop star past and turned up a surprising collaborator: Alanis Morissette.

TVLine has learned exclusively that Morissette has been tapped to guest star as a hip-hop legend from Ava’s ’90s band, Sound LLC.

    From what I read, she's going to be from her band, or at least from her musical past. Also I haven't seen Up All Night yet. I have been meaning to try it out.

    i know that i was thinking more about. How the band broke up will they be on good terms.  Will it be like a Diana Ross vs Supremes type of Dynamic. Ava blew up while Alanis character is barely getting by.
