Hey all,

Over a year ago we released our very successful SpoilerTV Chrome extension that allows you to always stay up to date on your favourite Shows here at SpoilerTV.

Most SpoilerTV readers, including myself, use the wonderful Google Chrome Browser as its much faster, secure and reliable. We also optimize the site for Google Chrome.

Now I know that a lot of people also use Firefox and Safari so today we're launching our first version of the SpoilerTV Extension/Addon for Firefox and Safari.

The extension is nowhere near as sophisticated as our Chrome Extension but we hope to add features in the future that will bring it close to the Chrome version

The Extension will alert you when there is new content on the site no matter what page you have open in your browser.

You will see a little orange B icon along with the number that shows the new articles



Click on this will reveal a popup that shows the most recent articles.



You can even bookmark articles by clicking on the "Star". These will be available in your Bookmarks Tab of the extension.



Chrome Users can download the Chrome version here

    Honestly, it has little to do with browser performance.  I disagree with many of Google's business practices and am weary of their horrible track record when it comes to privacy.  As a general rule, I want as little to do with Google as possible.

    I can't get the Safari extension to show me a menu.  I'm running Version 5.0.5 (6533.21.1) on Mac OS 10.6.8

    In Safari it should display an icon next to the Address Bar

    I'm running Safari 5.1.1 on a Windows 7 machine.

    I wonder if your slightly older version of Safari is the issue. Is it possible that you can try to upgrade to the latest version so see if it was a bug in an older version?

    There is a Chrome on linux but it has issues (at least on my system) with filling out forms.  Chromium is kind of Chrom Light.  But I'm usually working with both running.

    Didn't know there were two versions of Chrome for Linux, just installed the one from Ubuntu's sw centre.

    I'm running Linux (Ubuntu, Mandriva, ZenWalk, you name it!) for some years now, always used Firefox and another old love of mine - Opera - and never had issues with it. I had tried Chrome when it was released and quite frankly didin't find it any faster than Firefox or even Opera. For instance: Chromium takes longer than Firefox to upload SpoilerTV front page, I have tested it yesterday. But the STV extension does work, so...

    My impression of Chrome is that it's more "different" than "better."  There are some interface decisions they made are most evident on linux and they didn't impress me at all.

    I know we're using ubuntu for managing our configuration but, without being at my system, I can't tell you which version I'm running.  (My company shut down between Christmas and New Years. :-)

    Messages I get when trying to install on Firefox 10.0.2 on a Mac 10.5.8
    1) moved here
    When I click on link
    Firefox asks me to allow download of software. I click Allow and get this Message:
    Addon could not be downloaded because of a connection failure on builder.extensionfactory.com.

    I tried!

    I think the Safari ones are broken. It looks like the company that hosts they no longer work. The only one we have is the Chrome one, sorry.

    Can you Download this Extension with Safari for Windows or does it have to be Safari for OS X? cause i keep getting the message Safari can't install this extension an error Occured while installing this extension so what do i do?
