You are right. I don't mean to critic this new show... It comes from the same mind that created Downton Abbey so I am sure it will be good!! It's just that the Titanic theme is jinxed by the movie...
Here's a nice site and an article with great casting info for the series... and a poster. http://enchantedserenityperiodfilms.blogspot.com/2010/09/titanic-new-miniseries.html
Is this a series or mini series because I can't see this going on very long, the ship does sink on it's maiden voyage, unless it's more about survivors or something like that..
I don't know if i would want to sit thru this again, knowing what happens, and watching it happen is sad. After 2 movies, learning about it in school, seeing specials about it on the Discovery,Nat Geo,and whoever else had one in the last 30,40 years, one still wounds up with the same outcome..its tragic and sad and it really didn't have to happen....
I quite liked the film, but then again I've yet to see a Titanic film I haven't liked, the story fascinates me. My gran's family were meant to be aboard but missed it leaving, we still have her ticket, lol.
I hate, hate, hate that song thou *shudders* I had the rooms below her's back in Vegas when she played there, my mates and I squawked a bastardised version of it thru the ceiling at her one night when we were a little worse for wear XD Hopefully the penthouse suite had a sound proofed floor :s lol
I hope it removes forever that awful mess from my mind!!!! Seriously wasnt dicaprio meant to be Irish? Did he even attempt the accent? I was praying for the boat to sink in the end, what a load of old melodrama.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Thank you! I'm so freaking excited for this!
ReplyDeleteI don't know... it seams like Kate and Leo should pass by any minute...
ReplyDeleteLOL, it does bring up a lot of deja vu, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeletesure it does!
ReplyDeleteI think anything they do about the Titanic would cause deja vu, tbh. There's only so many storylines they can do.

Yup. Anything about the Titanic is going to be compared to the movie.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I want to watch it again.
Anyone find it odd they the used the X-men First Class soundtrack for their music choice in the beginning of the trailer?
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome. I wonder how it will hold up to the legend that was the 1997 movie
ReplyDeleteYay, it is about time we had a new Titanic for the new generation, some top names in this by the looks of it to :D
ReplyDeleteAnything in an attempt to forget that terrible movie! Titanic is one of if not THE most overrated movie in history in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope that gods forsaken song does not reappear in the radio charts!
This looks good!!

ReplyDeleteNice promo and can't wait to see it.... Kept expecting a scene of a couple floating on a big piece of wood..... "Don't let go, Jack"... lol

ReplyDeleteOh I do agree with you but the fact is that the 1997 movie has become iconic but it will be interesting to see what they do.
