On the heels of the bloody escape from the House of Batiatus that concluded "Spartacus: Blood and Sand," the gladiator rebellion continues and begins to strike fear into the heart of the Roman Republic in "Spartacus: Vengeance." Gaius Claudius Glaber and his Roman troops are sent to Capua to crush the growing band of freed slaves that Spartacus leads before it can inflict further damage. Spartacus is presented the choice of satisfying his personal need for vengeance against the man that condemned his wife to slavery and eventual death, or making the larger sacrifices necessary to keep his budding army from breaking apart. Containing all of the blood-soaked action, exotic sexuality, and villainy and heroism that has come to distinguish the series, the tale of Spartacus resumes in epic fashion.
"Spartacus: Vengeance" will premiere on STARZ Friday, January 27th at 10pm ET.

That's a promo from The River on ABC
ReplyDeleteoops sorry, should be there now
ReplyDeleteMore blood, more gore, more sex.Yay, Spartacus still rocks.
ReplyDeleteHopeful for the new Spartacus, and this looks great. Andy, RIP
ReplyDeleteThanks! That's a pretty good promo. However I can't help but think about and miss Andy Whitfield when I see his successor on screen.
ReplyDeleteIt was a fluke pause but I caught this at 0:29. Right before Ilythia says "why have I been brought to this house" in the voice over she is wearing a white gown and looking out over the balcony. Maybe its me but she looks pregnant in that shot. Could be nothing and I don't normally speculate like this but I thought it was interesting thought I would share it.
ReplyDeleteHow bittersweet. They are doing reruns of Blood & Sand for Christmas here, and it's so sad watching the scenes with A.W.
ReplyDeleteI am going to tho find this in amazon, hulu or netflix in order to watch.
ReplyDeleteIn these last weeks, I haven't seen anything that got me this exciting for any media.
ReplyDeleteFemale Galdiators, Romans vs. Slaves and the freedom out of the Ludus...Fantastic!
So much hawtness ... dayum!
ReplyDeleteIndeed. She looks pregnant in that scene, in the scene with the black dress and in one of the promo wallpapers. So, my guess is that she is pregnant.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!! Was that Gannicus?
ReplyDeleteIt will be hard to watch and not think about Andy :(
ReplyDeleteYes - Gannicus will be back this season ... hells yeah. Theres a great 11 min featurette that startz put on youtube - with some new footage included and some great stuff on stunts/camera work - if only someone could find and post it ....
ReplyDeleteI miss Andy Whiteman already. Good look to his replacement who seems to be falling into place seamlessly.
ReplyDeleteThe trailer looks really great.
