Good news for all those Jake-loving Secret Circle fans.
Chris Zylka, who plays hottie witch hunter Jake on the CW drama, has been promoted to a series regular, EW has learned exclusively.
Zylka first came on board the freshman series in October and his character’s budding romance with Cassie (Britt Robertson) quickly struck a note with fans, many of whom found themselves torn. (Cassie also had an ongoing back-and-forth with Thomas Dekker’s Adam.)
So what does Zylka’s imminent stay mean for all involved? Stay tuned.

I like the witch hunter plot so I guess this is good news?
ReplyDeleteI can get behind this ... he's hot ;)
ReplyDeleteugh I don't like the guy
ReplyDeletegood one
ReplyDeleteDunno how I feel about this.
ReplyDeleteBut he's such a bad actor. Like, so much worse than everyone else. Can't say I didn't see it coming though.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, I didn't think he was particularly worse than the rest of the young cast. Even if he was, he still has got more chemistry with Cassie than the brooding effeminate Adam, so I'm glad that he's joining the cast as a regular. :)
ReplyDeleteI suppose so. You know, I understand the CW's propensity for eye-candy. I just wish they'd compromise and hire some young onscreen talent (besides Britt Robertson) who can really act.
ReplyDeleteI can agree with you there. I always found Dekker a little too feminine to be the main male protagonist with the overarching love story deal, you know?
ReplyDeleteThis is great news, I adore his character, especially his interactions with Cassie
ReplyDeleteGood news for him. Thought he was pretty good (in a very mediocre show to be fair) so he deserves it.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME news! WOOHOO!!
ReplyDeleteAll I'm gonna say about this is: Yay! =)
ReplyDeletei hope this means that jake & cassie may have a future together after all... i don't like adam & cassie as a couple...diana is so boring that she's perfect for adam... but I bet will see a lot more of fighting over cassie from now on... and this way, the witch hunter theme is still on
