----------

-Ratings Breakdown:
NBC and Fox tied for first in the Sunday overnights, with Fox benefitting significantly by the estimated 20.5 rating/33 share for the primetime football overrun in the 7 p.m. half-hour. CBS finished third overall, followed by ABC.

Detroit at New Orleans on NBC’s Sunday Night Football averaged an 11.9/18 from 8:30-11 p.m., which was 18 percent below Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore on the year-ago match-up (14.6/22 on 12/05/10). Here is the half-hour breakdown:

Sunday Night Football (NBC)
8:30 p.m.: 12.1/18 (#1)
9:00 p.m.: 12.2/18 (#1)
9:30 p.m.: 12.0/18 (#1)
10:00 p.m.: 11.4/18 (#1)
10:30 p.m.: 12.0/20 (#1)

Earlier in the evening, Football Night in American on NBC fared as follows:

Football Night in America (NBC)
7:00 p.m.: 1.6/ 3 (#4)
7:30 p.m.: 2.8/ 4 (#4)
8:00 p.m.: 8.3/13 (#2)

The OT on Fox, of course, had a huge performance out of that 20.5/33 for the primetime football overrun, with a very dominant 16.9/27 in the overnights at 7:30 p.m. Veteran The Simpsons dipped to fourth at 8 p.m., however, with a 5.9/ 9, while soon-to-depart Allen Gregory at 8:30 p.m. scored a 3.4/ 5. Family Guy at 9 p.m. built by 35 percent, with a 4.6/ 7 (#4), followed by American Dad at a 3.3/ 5 at 9:30 p.m. (#4).

As a reminder, repeats of the first season of animated Bob’s Burger’s on Fox will air at 7 p.m. beginning on Jan. 8, with the rest of the evening remaining intact. Napoleon Dynamite, the animated spin-off of the theatrical of the same name, debuts out of The Simpsons (and in place of Allen Gregory) Sundays at 8:30 p.m. beginning on Jan. 15. Season two of Bob Burgers steps in for Napoleon Dynamite effective on March 11.

Over at CBS there was nothing unusual to report with its line-up of 60 Minutes (#2: 8.5/13), The Amazing Race (#2t: 6.4/10), The Good Wife (#2: 7.3/11) and CSI: Miami (#2: 7.4/12). While the entire line-up was on par from one year earlier (which included Undercover Boss at 9 p.m.), the lack of young adult interest on this evening is a definite concern.

On ABC, the Sunday standout remains recently introduced Once Upon a Time (#2t, 6.5/10 at 8 p.m.), which increased from lead-in America’s Funniest Home Videos (#3: 3.8/ 6 at 7 p.m.) by a hefty 71 percent. One year earlier, former time period occupant Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was considerably weaker at a 4.9/ 7 on 12/05/10. Soon-to-conclude Desperate Housewives (#3: 5.9/ 9 at 9 p.m.: down 26 percent from one year earlier) is wise to call it quits, while also departing Pan Am earned its cancellation stripes with a last-place 3.7/ 6 at 10 p.m. Compared to year-ago occupant Brothers & Sisters (5.8/ 9 on 12/05/10), Pan Am was down by 26 percent.

As a reminder, GCB (formerly Good Christian Belles), which comes from Sex and the City creator Darren Starr, debuts on ABC Sundays at 10 p.m. out of Desperate Housewives on March 4. Based on the book, a recently divorced mother of two (Leslie Bibb) moves back to the affluent Texas neighborhood where she grew up and discovers a malicious group of women in the Christian community.

  2. Once Upon A Time's ratings never cease to amaze me, as I figured it was going to be a flop.  I like it though, so the good ratings are good news.

  6. OUAT is under 10 million now, and DH is even weaker :/ That's bad, although OUAT is still great.

  7. TGW needs to pick it up. At least it didn't go below 1.9 though. I think it has before, last season.

  8. I hope this is not going be a regular pattern for OUAT.. I hope they stay in 9-11 million viewers zone..

  9. Football continues to hurt Once Upon a Time.It fell under 10 Million In total Viewers(DVR will probally
get It back to close to 11 Million) and CBS shows got more viewers overall that It(although The Amazing Race just barely edged It out among all viewers.Still a Scripted show neck and neck against a relaity show while a sport Is on Is very good) although In the demo It beats CBS shows. The Simpsons and Family Guy did better In the Demo while Once Upon a Time did better overall.Once Upon a Time Is Increasing the America's funnest home video numbers but Desperate Housewives can't keep Once
    Upon a Time's numbers.

Once Upon a Time Is doing smilar numbers that Lost did In It's final seasons.

  10. Down 10% from last week and down every week so far is not exactly kicking butt. It's still getting good numbers but it's lower than Person of Interest and Unbelievable now (in total viewers).

Hopefully it finds its level soon and stays about where it's at for its fans sake...

  12. OUAT needs a bit of a boost if it's gonna survive the season. ABC needs to stop this bleeding of viewers from all of it's shows.

  15. Keep in mind that this week was a rerun, that probably affected the ratings some too.

  16. Yes! for Once Upon A Time but I completely forgot that Pan Am was on tonight. Look like it's really not doing very well.

  17. I know. But if I was ABC, I wouldn't have had a mini break between episode 1.07 and 1.08 (?). I would have run the episodes 12 times straight and then take a break for a month or two, and run it another 12 weeks straight. People will know then what to expect..
