  5. Fringe is the Best Show in Friday´s

  6. Glad to see Frosty is still going strong after 40 some odd years!

  7. I've tried twice to watch it, but it sucks--and not well. Not as much as "Once Upon a Time," maybe, but it's pretty damned bad.

  8. why don't they emit Fringe 4x08 instead of repeats?!

  9. I watch it, well now u know someone who watches it : )

  10. Okay, SPN has 0.4 rating but  0.99 viewers while Nikita has 1.32 viewers but 0.3 rating.
So who did better SNP or Nikita?

Then SNP and Fringe both have 0.4 but shouldn't the fact that Fringe has more viewers automatically put  its 18-49 rating higher too?

  11. No, the 2 ratings are totally different the 18-49 is how many people aged 18-49 watched. The other number is the total viewers

  12.   OK , but if more people watched, there must be more 18 to 49 persons among those extra numbers...or not?

In any case, I presume both ratings are taken with the Nielsen box.

  13. No, what if everyone who watched it was 60. then the 18-49 numbers would be 0

  14.  But how do they know if it's a 20 year old or a 60 year old sitting in front of the tv?

    ReplyDelete
  15. That;s what the Nielsen boxes are for, so they know who is watching.

  16.  Thanks for the explanation, and most of all for your patience with my dumb questions!

I had thought the boxes only got viewer numbers and the 18-49 thing was a sort of estimate,  but I see that it's all much more complicated than that!

  17. Ha no worries and there are no dumb questions

This link explains it in a lot more detail http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nielsen_ratings

  18.  Thanks, I'll bookmark that page and study it up :-)

  19. Ah, well, I like Once Upon at least. To each their own, you know?

  20. OUCH for Supernatural...it is sad that these are the ratings for the reruns with adding a million for a new episode. I remember when new episode meant two mil and change and a rerun was over 1 mil and change

  21. Yeah times have changed...
