"Yes, and I'm hearing rather too much of your lower intestine. Could you possibly remove your phone from your hip to your jacket pocket?" XD
Then toss in the scene with him trying to look around for a killer following Dugan but being unable to move his neck... rotating his entire body! "I'm not exactly good at this." XD
Fun that Finch chose Thomas Paine as his nom de plume! Paine wrote the Rights of Man and Finch built a machine that violates the privacy rights of man.
Good that Carter decided paying back a life debt was more important than the law.... Also good a trained sniper missed all the internal organs and the fenural artery when he shot Reese twice too I guess, but I digress....
I wonder if that's Bridget Regan's natural hair color? I barely recognized her! I think she used to be a redhead on The Black Donnellys if I recall... But it looked so natural and good on her as a dark brunette too. Hmmmm....
NCIS maybe? According to IMDB she has not done CSI, but they miss things .... Not sure.
I miss Legend of the Seeker too. It was never going to win any awards, but it was a solid fantasy adventure series that knew its limitations and strengths and managed to play to its strengths more often than not!
I haven't calm downed and it's already been thirteen minutes since the episode ended. The episode was, once again, another amazing hit! Had me on edge since the beginning, and I was having heart palpitations when Reese got shot. I wasn't expecting that. I was expecting him to dodge (like he usually does), but no! Get got shot! TWICE! And damn Carter! I still love ya, but damn. You can't deny that near the end she regretted calling those dudes on Reese, she was definitely thinking "I f*cked up." And damn, Finch was driving fast, and shit getting knocked down by that bomb. I mean talk about your high octane episode from start to finish. I stand by my belief that every episode this show airs is like watching a mini-movie!
Now, onto Reese's CIA buddies and why they were gunning for him. I do not know what to make of what they excused him of doing. I'm not sure if they're lying or not. I, like probably Carter, was doubting Reese's sanity then (and I adore the guy). However, I still raged when the CIA dudes (Mark was his friends name I think) cornered (or tried to) and shot him! Livid!
As for there four people situation. That was handled with as much grace as they've always handled cases. Yeah, two of their four people ended up dead, but the sole outcome at least ended with saving the two other people. And the foster sisters were good people, so they deserved the final save. Once again, this show continues to divert all attention onto a case to then pull some grenade out of a hat to throw into the very end. Damn, this show is just too good.
Will be continuing to watch for a whole season; meaning I'll be watching in Jan.
(If grammar mistakes are found, I'm sorry and how it's at least readable).
I assumed the 2 CIA agents are dirty and likely the ones that actually killed Reese's partner/ handler. That act was another part of what made him downward spiral before Finch found him I guess....
Awesome ep! I love that the writers have sprinkled in some more humor to lighten things up and make the characters more interesting. Loved that Carter is getting more into the mix of things, but didn't like that she sold the boys out, but her reasons were understandable because she didn't know that she was being manipulated. Love that this ep added another layer to the mystery/mythology of Mr Reese - what happened that perhaps crooked government types are gunning for him now. Can't wait to see what's next for the "team"...
I think its great that trained sniper missed the internal organs, or else we would have a slightly different Person of Interest in the second part of the season...so I'll take it, damn the realism. Anyway, when is it coming back?
& here I thought last week's episode was pure awesomeness.. Now this is mind-blowing awesomeness.. I loved it .. loved Finch's lines this time.. it seems they're taking parts with that.. & and Finch is a real surveillance freak .. I mean how could he have known Reese found the picture..
"Careful of what you're looking for Mr. Reese or you might find it" or something.. that had me thinking..
I felt bad about Carter tipping the CIA guys about Reese. I don't believe what they told her about those victims he killed .. but I can't wait to know mooooore .. loved the PoIs of the week too..
a thrilling episode indeed and a great fall finale.. I really can't wait for it to return.. Oh and isn't Reese revealing himself more now to the cameras .. I used to think that he purposefully avoided those..
Exactly what I was thinking. He got burned by corrupt agents in the CIA, his partner ended up dead. So he faked his death and now he will need the help of Micheal Weston to bring down this corrupt club within the agency! ;-)
See, I don't think of Carter as part of the team - I can imagine much later in the season her finding out Fusco has been working for Finch et al, and her getting the why out of him pretty quick. I think the writers will pull her back somehow, and that'll be seriously interesting to see!
This was the best episode so far. The show has found its rhythm. Well done. I liked how Gordon didn't just see Batman get into the car and drive off but actually made the choice to let Alfred help Batman get away.
To kill him, at that distance with that kind of gun, the snipper would aim the head or the heart. The first shot, clean, with a standing target, was sent to Reese's abdomen; the second one to his leg. I assumed their intention was indeed to capture Reese alive.
I've already commented a couple of times that one of the most difficult things will be to keep Carter not knowing (or at least not finding a bit odd) that Fusco is constantly receiving strange phone calls, many of wich lead him to surprise bonuses (arresting guys no one previously knew were related to a specific case, arriving first at locations where dead bodies are, etc, etc, etc). Just look at the many times he already gave clumsy excuses to part ways with Carter, just to show up later in the game carrying new info or even a suspect...
And Carter may be sympathetic with Reese and Finch, but she won't put away with Fusco when she discovers he is a dirty cop, that's what I believe.
I've only watched this show a handful of times so I'm a little fuzzy on the story as a whole. (Must catch up. I have them all recorded). Anyway, this was the best of any I've seen. I know Reese will be okay because on TV, you can get shot in the stomach and be fine the next week. Amusing how the redhead hijacked Reese in the salon and told him she wouldn't let him out looking like that. (I wonder what kind of change she had in mind). Wish Carter would catch on and start being nice to Reese.
I assumed it was a kill mission and they wanted Reese dead, but it makes more sense they just wanted to take him down.
I was wondering why no headshot like Paolo said... Of course I was happy either way since I'm enjoying the season and a Jon Reese with a bullet hole in his head sounds decidedly less fun!
I just love when Carter sees Finch together with Reese. It just hits her. She has that expression like "Oh boy, this is big and I still can't quite grasp it, but barely start to understand all the implications". Good acting.
I agree very great acting. Now Carter need to join the team because I think the enemy's growing up after this episode, CIA agents, Elias, the ex-Reese's boss, is so much people, and in this middle time protect people.
Warning: Sorry for my english, I hope you understand.
The situation is like this: some people want Carter dead and Reese pissed them off by threatening the captaine, Some people wants to take down Reese and by helping him run away Carter pissed them off, plus thereis misstrust between fitch/reese one side and carter on the other side, Carter sold Reese out and she think he did some pretty bad things... Ok now the show is really starting, we enjoyed the strict procedural while it lasted, now lte's serialized this a lil bit!
I think you're right about the dirty CIA agents going away for a while, but they may come back into play later down the road..
I have a feeling that Carter will never be on team Finch and Reese completely. Just from a writer's standpoint they already have Fusco for that. IF Fusco dies, then maybe I can see them pulling her over as a fully committed member of the team.Plus I think Carter is a very "by the books" type and the way Finch and Reese operate will not sit well with her. I think she will be conflicted for a very long while before she believes they are the god guys enough to be part of the team.
It's a really good thing that John thinks before he shoots. I noticed that in the previous episode. There are so many moments where he's about to take someone out but stops himself just quickly enough to prevent hurting an innocent.
I knew Hallen was crooked the minute he thanked Finch for his help. :-)
And those CIA guys are pretty good. They told her just enough of the truth to get her to help them. Well, I expected them to try to kill him butI did NOT expect to see blood. Didn't doubt that Carter would do right by John when she got clued in to who were really the good guys and bad guys.
We have to wait til next year don't we?
I really liked this episode. I think I like this show the best when the writers challenge themselves with jobs that have more than just one or two twists.
Agreed, this is a very important point: " I think Carter is a very "by the books" type and the way Finch and Reese operate will not sit well with her ". Pairing with them would be illegal but worst than that, it would be accepting corrupt Fusco as well. Right now, she doesn't know Fusco cooperates with team Reench let alone that he his a dirty cop!
With that said, now I can't get out of my mind a bit of Crosby, Stills and Nash: "You might as well have / a good ti-ime" from the album "Daylight Again".
""I breached the space-time continuum" was also my most favorite line...that sounded like "time-traveling bunnies" LOL
I'm still amazed how each episode seems to get more exciting and grander in scope. Hope when they will take a break for the holidays, it won't be too long.
I'm not positive but I think they are off for a full month now and return January 16. Not as long as some series, but still sounds like too long to me! XD
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
This was Finch-Funny-Fest!
ReplyDelete"I breached the space-time continuum" XD
"Yes, and I'm hearing rather too much of your lower intestine. Could you possibly remove your phone from your hip to your jacket pocket?" XD

I believe she was in a CSI episode not long ago, and she was a redhead then as well. I almost didn't recognize her either.
ReplyDeleteI miss Legend of The Seeker. :(
Okay. now THAT was a good episode. obviously Reese is going to be okay, but man my heart skipped a few beats when he got shot!
ReplyDeleteNCIS maybe? According to IMDB she has not done CSI, but they miss things .... Not sure.

ReplyDeleteI loved the space-time continuum bit as well
ReplyDeletethis episode was so good

ReplyDeleteI'm happy he missed too! XD
ReplyDeleteIn a show like that it's not about realism.. I mean even snipers miss I guess, but still.
I think it returns January 16 if I recall...
Nice to see that the writers are now looking at the back story of our characters.
ReplyDelete& here I thought last week's episode was pure awesomeness.. Now this is mind-blowing awesomeness.. I loved it .. loved Finch's lines this time.. it seems they're taking parts with that.. & and Finch is a real surveillance freak .. I mean how could he have known Reese found the picture..

Wasn't he just shooting to neutralise the threat, rather than kill him?
ReplyDeleteThat's what I had assumed!
I've so been picturing that cross-over for a while now - very glad someone else sees the awesome in that idea!!!
ReplyDeleteSee, I don't think of Carter as part of the team - I can imagine much later in the season her finding out Fusco has been working for Finch et al, and her getting the why out of him pretty quick. I think the writers will pull her back somehow, and that'll be seriously interesting to see!

ReplyDeletei had to pause it and laugh for a minute at the Det. Fiasco line!
ReplyDeleteI loved this episode and i loved Linus, oops Finch's line on "Space time continuum" really great episode and now i want more!
ReplyDeleteI'll go with that!
ReplyDeleteI assumed it was a kill mission and they wanted Reese dead, but it makes more sense they just wanted to take him down.

I agree.
ReplyDeleteThe best episode of this season, so great. Reese, Finch, Fusco and Carter make a great job here. The final scene is awesomeeeeeeeeeee
ReplyDeleteI know! It was hilarious :) not to mention Fusco's face: priceless!
ReplyDeleteI just love when Carter sees Finch together with Reese. It just hits her. She has that expression like "Oh boy, this is big and I still can't quite grasp it, but barely start to understand all the implications". Good acting.
ReplyDeleteGive yourself a neat Christmas present: just watch all the episodes :)
ReplyDeleteExactly!!! This was not just good episode...this was a freakin AWESOME one. Can`t wait to see the show after hiatus :D.
ReplyDeleteI agree very great acting. Now Carter need to join the team because I think the enemy's growing up after this episode, CIA agents, Elias, the ex-Reese's boss, is so much people, and in this middle time protect people.

Detective Fiasco. LOL

I'm sorry. THAT WAS THE WOMAN FROM LEGEND OF THE SEEKER?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteDad gummit...I just deleted the ep. Darn it! I was supposed to be keeping an eye out for her ep.
sigh. I'm beating myself over the head with a wet noodle.
Don't feel too badly... I knew she was going to be on the episode and did not figure out who she was until I looked online! XD
ReplyDeleteI knew I recognized her from something.... but I could not place her as Kahlan from LotS.
Agreed, this is a very important point: " I think Carter is a very "by the books" type and the way Finch and Reese operate will not sit well with her ".

I hear you loud and clear. Mine is not a perfect english either ;)
ReplyDeleteBTW, your name tells me that we have something in common (besides "Paulo" in our names): you too speak portuguese, don't you?
Saudações fraternas!
With that said, now I can't get out of my mind a bit of Crosby, Stills and Nash: "You might as well have / a good ti-ime" from the album "Daylight Again".
ReplyDeleteIt was like a couple years ago... (sigh)
Falo português sim sou do Brasil. Saudações.
ReplyDeleteTeam Reench. I like this.
ReplyDeleteIs true. I don't think Fusco die in this season, maybe in the next.
ReplyDeleteGreat episode like always.. "Person of Interest" is the new TV show on the television, with "Once upon a time".
ReplyDelete""I breached the space-time continuum" was also my most favorite line...that sounded like "time-traveling bunnies" LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm still amazed how each episode seems to get more exciting and grander in scope. Hope when they will take a break for the holidays, it won't be too long.

ReplyDeleteThen it'd be "Body of Interest"
ReplyDeleteI missed LOTS too - great seeing Bridget again ... Now if I could just find that chick who played Cara ... she's my lesbian fantasy :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe they didn't want to make it look "too" professional - Carter was there so maybe they wanted to appear to only want to take him down and not out.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm overanalyzing ...
This made me LOLz
ReplyDeleteWe all are, ma'am, we all are ;)
ReplyDelete
