  1. The range of this show is fantastic; there are at least a dozen different story lines being played out, and each one is interesting. Of course, the Bohannen/Ferguson conflict tonight rocked.

  2. Pretty good episode tonight. All the characters are connected now, no story felt like it's not part of the big story here. I especially liked that little story of the McGinnes brothers, so far they have been a bit useless. Tonight we saw a glimpse into Sean's mind and also learned that Mickey is a far more loyal friend than his brother is.

Great that the Reverend is getting more to do. I like Noonan a lot and now that his daughter arrived at Hell on Wheels we should learn more about him.
The whole Cheyenne story was great too. Hope we get more of that as the season progresses even though the producers once said there would be a bigger focus on that story in case the show gets a second season. And well, it seems like it will be renewed.

Lily continues to be intriguing. She doesn't get that much substantial screen time, nevertheless I like her a lot. And we learned a bit more about her and her motives as well.

Cullen's and Elam's fight was okay for me, but probably one of the things I enjoyed least this episode. It just followed the same formula, first one opponent lands the majority of punches, then things turn around and after that it's pretty much evenly matched and noone can predict the outcome.
The outcome of the fight itself should have serious repercussions in the episodes to come, at least I hope they just don't drop it.

One thing is for sure, I don't care a lot about Cullen's revenge, the show is at its best when it concentrates on building the railroad.

  3. The other aspect that annoyed me with the Elam and Cullen fight was that Mr. hairy-face Cullen was completely shaven adam's apple to belt buckle! XD

I guess manscaping was more popular in the old west than I knew? XD

  5. Not sure why but I just couldn't get into this episode, it was the weakest one so far for me by a mile.
