Oh that football game. Bears, you broke my heart, and then you messed up the TV schedule. When I finally caught up with The Good Wife, it was about a third over.
So the ice is melting between Kalinda and Alicia. Good. I worry that Alicia might be seriously considering partnership after Diane's little speech about leaving behind all entanglements. She has two wonderful children and a brother that she loves. And look at Diane's life. I did not like Peter throwing his weight around, although realistically that's probably how things are in government. "I'm your State's blah blah so my kids get to go to your school and that's that." I think Will was honorable in not colluding with Wendy.
I thought the first half of the season (while it had a several memorable moments) was altogether fairly bleak, but was necessary in order for the writers to construct and foreshadow some MAJOR DRAMA LLAMAS for the second half... and this was the episode where everything started falling into place. I cannot wait to see where the show goes from here. Great great great episode.
What a great episode! Alicia and Kalinda are almost back xD seeing Alicia going all ninja with Cary made my day, specially cause he backed off like a little dog :P Peter being all bossy with that troll lady was priceless! And what a twist with Wendy Scott-Carr and Will... I was not expecting that, at least he did the right thing and walked away (he's decent, woman!)
At the end I was expecting Kalinda, not Dianne... but it was a nice change.
I loved this episode. The new plot twist will serve to many new stories and interesting facts. I can't wait to see where this all is going. Alicia threatening Cary was pure awesomness. I love how Peter is always there was his kids, and for his family.
All of this I agree with. Peter was good with Alicia and the kids at the beginning of the episode, but at the end he just flat out showed his ass. That's not a good way to go about that.
Yeah the only corruption I see in Wendy's case is...Well...Wendy. I think that Peter could've handled the school situation in a better way. I think he could've been more subtle and less blackmailish. He came off as a power-hungry jerk.
The ending made me smile. First Will takes the high road and says no to the hugest twist in the Wendy Scott-Carr case, and walks away, then we see that Alicia is sitting with Diane, when we were expecting Kalinda. That's a GOOD influence on her to be around, and Alicia was just awesome throughout the episode. She said her piece to the woman who was sentenced, she rammed Cary's smug face up to the wall practically, and got Kalinda out. That was great.
Yeah I agree that Peter could've handled differently but I loved it! I'm not very fond of him but seeing the way he was so fierce about his kids education... I like it ;)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Another awesome episode...can't wait for more!!
ReplyDeleteI missed the last 15 minutes of the show. What happened?
ReplyDeleteDid not see that plot twist coming. Some intriguing episodes to come I expect.

ReplyDeleteWendy's pretending to be investigating Will but she's really investigating Peter.
ReplyDeleteThis was a really great episode. Wendy has many faces and I'm not sure that I trust her. The whole Diane befriending Alicia is kinda creepy.
