    Awesome may not cover it.  I love the heartfelt drama in this episode and usually I shun that.  I still wish Anson had died but as long as Fiona gets to kill him in the end...and that end comes soon, I guess I'm okay with it.  I only hope that we don't start the next season off without Fi.  Not sure I can go even one episode without her snarky fun.

    Not sure what was so jaw dropping because I saw it coming the moment Anson started blackmailing Michael and Fiona. I agree with Dahne in that I don't want Fiona to be away for to long. My biggest question are: When does Fiona get out? and How does this affect Michael and Fiona's relationship?

    It's kind of hard to describe how I feel about the episode. On one hand, the scenes between Michael and Fiona were phenomenal-heartfelt, touching, and finally felt like they both broke through the emotional barriers they normally have up (especially Michael, who's never really expressed how much Fiona means to him). But the rest of the episode was just kind of blah. Not really anything that didn't see coming.

    In Burn Notice Finales they usually go out with a major bang that leaves me shell shocked and has me wondering all year long where the writers are going to take it the next year. This year I that's not going to be the case. Of course I'll miss it, but I'm not going to be dying to know how they're going to resolve it because I can easily come up with answers for that in my own head.

    I felt more like this was the end to an episode leading up to a finale than an actual finale itself.

    I completely agree with you. I am glad that michael didnt burn those other agents though.  I feel that could have destroyed his character. I guess am with Fi on that.  I hope that she isnt gone long,  bring on the summer.

    Yeah I don't quite get the hate either. I mean I hate him, but you're supposed to hate him. I think he's a really good villain in that he's able to get inside Michael's psyche unlike anybody else (unless you include Larry). And Jere Burnes-the man who plays Anson-has done a fantastic job of acting so far.

    Now that he's not holding the Fi card over Michael it should be interesting to see how they play out his role next and his fight with Michael. I think that Michael will have a lot of trouble trying to take down the organization as Anson rebuilds it.

    I agree, I like Anson. I think that he is such a smart and manipulative character, who really knows Michael and the team inside and out. I think that he is different than all the other villains that we have seen on the show. I am really curious to find out why people don't like him.

    For me he's just another in a long line of smug, overconfident villains Michael has already taken down.  He's like Brennan-light and I hated Brennan with a passion.  I feel like for Burn Notice to get back on top, they need to have a compelling villain that's different than every single other villain they have had before.  Anson doesn't cut it.

    I am bored with Anson.  Like you say, he is just like all the previous villians, just with a little different twist.  I keep hoping they will put the burned spy thing into the past and either go with him being in the CIA or get him out of it forever.

    I just don't buy that Michael can't find a way out of this.  Anson lives in an apartment with a glorified telephone and nothing else.  Michael has gotten out of much tighter spots than this, and yet he has spent this entire season being led around by his nose hairs.

    For me what made Burn Notice fun was the 'con of the week', the humor from Sam and Michael's mom, Michael taking on a role, and Fiona bringing the sass.  I like having an ongoing storyline in the background, but this season has been all about Anson, with the humor and protecting the innocent taking a back seat.  I really don't care how they deal with Anson, I just want him gone before I lose interest in the show.

    I feel that this was the saddest episode ever.    Never cried so much.  Finally, Michael and Fiona have expressed their feelings towards one another. I felt it was the final goodbye for Fiona, but it won't be.  She'll be back.  Fiona is a big part of the Burn Notice storyline.  (Gabrielle stated she's grateful she has a job and loves working on Burn Notice). They're not going to write her out.  I think MIchael will go to every single length he can to get Fiona back.  He's not going to let her sit in prison.  He is committed to her and she to him. Don't know if they will have their happy ending as we would want it.  For some reason, Michael doesn't seem to be entitled to happiness.

    I get what you mean about Anson, but I think the reality of a show called "Burn Notice" kinda limits what the arc story can be (*cough* Prison Break *cough*). 

    My hope is that Michael ends up with his hands on the money and sets up a legitimate version of what Anson etc set up - clearly the niche is there. Then its still (sort of) to do with burned spys, and we can go back to "The Client" and "The Villainous Douche" style, which worked so well.

    Michael was happy the first few seasons.  He had a girlfriend that loved him and he got to play with her and his friends every day.  He gave all that up for the CIA.  Fiona told him he had it good and he refused to listen.

    You can tell when Michael is happy, he eats yogurt.  There hasn't been much yogurt lately.

    Now that would take Burn Notice in a new and interesting direction.  I think with a ho-hum villain and a less than interesting CIA plot this season, Burn Notice is in danger of becoming stale.  They need something like this idea to shake things up.  Actually I like Baff would be fine if they focused on the case of the week at this point.  In fact, maybe the overarching story could be related to a case of the week next season instead of Michael's burn notice which has already been played out.  He can still be a burned spy but maybe they take on someone bigger than usual in the case arena for half a season.

    I wasn't expecting that ending but i am not surprised.Something had to finally happen with Michael and Fiona.....So Michael will spend the next season getting Fi out of that situation,and they will,they always do...

    I agree Baff. Michael doesn't listen to her.  She told him in the Season 1 finale why go back when he's doing good here in Miami.  I really hope he will listen to her more often if and when Fi gets out of jail.  If you listen to her through the seasons she's asked not to work with Strickler, Gilroy, and Anson and he didn't listen.  Look what happened.  She's a good influence on him.  She's the reason Michael is who he is now.  Because of her, he's awakened on the inside.

    I think it will make their relationship stronger.  Michael's focus will be on getting her out no matter what the cost. I think he'll take some blame for it and make it right.  Fi's not going to walk away from him, "I Love you Michael, Forever" that convinced me.

    Given STV's polls about the best shows at the moment, I really wish there could be a category for "Best Portrayal of a Couple" - Michael and Fi have been actually together for quite some time now, they've really had to work at it, but the relationship comes together so well - so genuine, so intimate without being soppy, so connected to our understanding of their characters. Most other shows I watch yo-yo about their central couple, Burn Notice really sets a standard for me in this regard.

    Actually I think that you're idea about setting up a legitimate version of what Anson builds is a brilliant idea. It would allow so many opportunities for storytelling to be opened up.

    In fact I've been catching my parents up on Burn Notice and I've been wondering if that's not where the writers because they've been having Michael leading ops a whole more. I've been wondering if the writers have been trying to get us more adjusted to the idea of Michael running things. 

    Anyway I never really considered it until I saw your comment, but I really hope that they take that route.
