Oh God, I can't believe they went there with Jimmy and Gillian. I had a feeling they would, but holy fuck! EWWWWW. WHY WOULD YOU FUCK YOUR OWN MOTHER, JIMMY? YOUR OWN SON, GILLIAN?
And why are you trying to take over the role as mother for Tommy, Gillian?
I guess this episode adds a lot of pretext as to why Jimmy pulls away from his moms lingering hugs and kisses ..... Yikes! Freud would have a field day with this episode. First he does his mom and then he does in his dad.
I felt bad for Richard as he stared at Angela's blood stain on the floor...
Speaking of Richard, I wish Angela would have apologized or at least discussed her telling the cop that Richard was a simpleton. Ok, He knew she was doing it to get the nosy cop out of the house, but still! She is very much in the same vein as Cersei Lannister - "Anyone who isn't us is the enemy".
Every episode I love Nucky more and more! "Couldn;t they just hold the spoons farther up the handle?" Ha! XD I thought the same thing. Silly religious sheeple!
I have always enjoyed Margaret, but she is getting on my nerves now. First the private cache to the church and now she is saying she will be testifying? I think Nucky needs to trade her in for a new model! A churchgoing religious crazy woman is not exactly his best match......
Wow I never thought I'd see Van Alden go from lawman to wanted-man! I wonder what he will get himself into now that he does not have his job to fall back on. His back story filled out a lot of his character traits for me. It's amazing how one important story about a person's past can illuminate so much about their character....
Gillian has always creeped me out, but I can almost enjoy that I guess.
Margaret was empowering herself and coming into her own last season and the start of this season and now she's lost herself and turned to God. Oh well, maybe her character arc will redeem her next year?
Fantastic episode. Jimmy's back story was just awesome. The incest scene WAS disgusting, and I kept saying "Don't do it, Jimmy!" Having said that, it does answer A LOT of questions that I had about their relationship. It also answered the questions I had about Jimmy/Angela. They were just getting to know each other when she gets pregnant and he runs off to war. It's no wonder they were so distant. The problem I have with the episode is that it seemingly wrapped up Jimmy's story....and I DO NOT like that. I love this show as a whole, but Jimmy Darmody is the only character that I root for each week. I mean, I root for Nucky but it's different.
Awesome comparison of Gillian to Cersei Lannister!! They are much the same character in different settings. They match up on multiple levels. And they are both total bitches! I could not believe that she said, while talking to Jimmy about Tommy: "I don't mean to sound cold, but in a month he won't even remember her." Jimmy's reaction was exactly what I would expect from him....choking the shit out of her..."I'll remember!!"
I hated Margaret more last night than I ever have, and I have never been too warm on her. I didn't like her for the entire first season. She was okay for the first few episodes of this season, but now she is reverting to her typical self righteousness. It's sickening. I loved Nucky's responses to her. She better watch herself with that shit....Nucky does not fuck around when it comes to threats against his freedom/well being.
Nucky better give Harlan a raise...
I loved the Van Alden scene where he flipped out and ran away from the Post Office. Great scene.
awesome as usual! I'm a little shocked for the Jimmy/Gillian stuff o.o I always thought they had an ambiguous relationship, but see this incest....it was so creepy ://
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

And whoa at High!Jimmy killing his father.
I loved this episode! Can't wait for more.

Margaret is totally on my nerves...actually, so is Gillian...not enjoying the female characters at this point, but I guess that's what makes good TV
